I suddendly realized I don't even miss his posts here I think the posts are typically pretty interesting and give another perspective we don't always see as consumers/outsiders. People often take the material and turn it into doomsday. Everyone thinks they know whats best, I guess its human nature, but FFS people, get some perspective. There are many moving parts, not everything is black and white. We don't need arm chair CEOs, though there IS room for discussion and gripes. Just ease up on the nuclear options. Don't cry about micro-transactions/dlc shit because it is the product of the industry AND the consumers who allowed it. Big deal, you spent $110 on a game for 3000 hours of gameplay; you got your monies worth. tl;dr lets continue to monitor how the product develops before we go bonkers. In: Lobby |

Yesterday I read 'gg relic and microsoft' for not having anything in GamesCom 2018. Its going to be a long 2-3 years of waiting for you guys if everyday you analyze every little snippet of information you can dig. Shouldn't we be celebrating these games are even in the works before we start complaining about how we think they should be properly staffed? In: Lobby |

The graphics were improved from coh1 to coh2 but they went from a raw look to a more 'cartoony' look, imo. Also played coh1 from the start and I remember when COH2 came out thinking 'wow, this isn't much of an improvement'. In: Lobby |

I think its more about being force fed diversity/gender justice people are upset about. When a company takes a stance on the issue and calls people who don't agree with their policy 'uneducated' you will certainly piss some people off but back to the point. The majority of gamers are white males. You wouldn't expect Black magazine to force feed pictures of white people into their publication for the sake of diversity. It would be a dumb business move considering their target demographic is black people. A CEO's job is to ensure a profitable product, not change society. In: Other Games |

How do you come to all these conclusions you are spitting out here? I think a lot stemmed from EA lashing out at consumers calling them 'uneducated' and telling them not to buy the game if they don't accept diversity in their game. https://www.theverge.com/2018/6/12/17453728/ea-women-in-battlefield-v-backlash-response According to analysts from CNBC the game is setting up for failure. Pre-sales are down 85% to previous titles and competitive titles where the gap was usually 20-40%. https://www.vgr.com/battlefield-serious-disappointment/ In: Other Games |
Thread: Germany to ease regulations on Nazi symbols in video games.11 Aug 2018, 14:09 PM
Well. Nothing had changed in general. It is just a kind of a signal. Right, the FSK control is the problem though. I think rewriting your history or pretending it didn't happen is sort of Orwellian. Why stop at Swastikas? What about the families of veterans who died fighting those wars yet we still allow German and US/UK kids to kill each other in games. Who draws the line in the sand? Who decides where it is drawn and where it stops? Seems like a slippery slope. I thought Aerafield and Daddy-g were right on, especially "100% agree. I mean, going out on the streets and (ab)using this type of symbols etc. should always be prohibited... but seriously, leave video games just as they are" In: Lobby |
