Hire a different team and work on coh3.
Coh2 has too many issues. The code is horrible and keeps getting riddled with new bugs; . P2W commanders are too deeply rooted into the game and power-creep had made half of the content of the game useless. The desire to make each faction as different from one-another as possible had created factions that lack basic features such as infantry based, anti-garrison tools, or artillery. These roles then have to be forfilled with doctrinal units. These doctrinal units are of course only found in 4 euro premium commanders.
Best to just abandon ship and start fresh. You will never be able to build an excellent game on such a broken foundation. |
A mortar with horrible auto-fire would be horrible against everything that is not heavy support weapon spam. Try to play against someone going 3 conscripts 1 maxim and see just how well your mortar does if you tell it to hold fire and only use the barrage. You will barely hit anything. |
How to be pro in 1v1 USF (against Ostheer):
Get tactical support commander, or whatever the guys name is. I don't have the commander. It's the one with the M5 halftrack that comes way too early at 3CP.
Step 1: Get 4 rifles, do some fighting, collect some ammo and some fuel
Step 2: Get captain
Step 3: Get M5, turn it into a quad, do some harassment
Step 4: Get Stuart
Step 5: Get another M5, also turn it into a quad
Step 6: face-roll over your enemy who has invested 400mp into tech and possibly another 150 in a medic bunger, which means only has a 222 and maybe a PAK40 for AT at this point.
Step 7: Enjoy your win.
Pro tips: do not get ambulance, it will only slow you down. Also don't be afraid to baserush. Go to the liquor store to buy some red wine to go with the cheese.

I fucking hate that commander. Just had a game in 1v1. Literally couldn't do anything. British faggot just covered 2 points with a bofors and mortar pit and there was no way to crush it. Mortars got counterartilleried and paks/mgs got mortared and bombarded with bofors. Bofors even managed to 1v1 my p4 in the front armor and Pwerfer couldn't even bring it to 50% health with 1 point blank barrage. GG Relic, GG.
How the hell did he even get a bofors up in the first place? Without the AEC, brits have 0 counters against the 222 (only doctrinal tank hunter sections). You could have just gotten 1 or 2 of those and pushed him off the field before he could get a bofors up. |
At first I thought 'no'. But now that a 222 rush is standard I have to say yes.
Currently, against Wehrmacht you only have 1 gameplay option: Rush an AEC as fast as you can.
Want to make a bofors? Forget about it. You will have lost all map control long before you have a chance to put it up as a 222 will just kill your units and push you of the map.
If you try to get fancy with a sniper, the 222 can just rush your sniper without a care in the world. GG game-over withing 7 minutes. There is no way you are going to have VET1 before the 222 wrecks your face, unless you happen to get off a counter snipe on the Ostheer sniper.
AT guns do not work without a snare. They will just get circle strafed by a 222.
Something has to be done. It's way worse facing the 222 as Brits then it is to face a light vehicle rush as Ostheer. At least Ostheer has mines that 1-shot enemy light vehicles (which are MUCH more expensive), and then you have the option for either a shreck team, a. In either case, a single light vehicle will never completely crush if you get caught off-guard you as you can always defend yourself with a faust. |
Meh, game in broken state, optimistaion is terrible and splats/de-syncs plague teamgames. Whats relic fixing? Warspoils.

The fact that they can build unlimited versions of slightly weaker Tigers that aren't locked behind a commander is already kind of ridiculous imo.
Right, it's ridiculous that one out of three allied factions has a non-doctrinal tank that can stand up to non-doctrinal panthers. Allies should be forced into doctrinal tanks every time in team games! It's already true for soviets and americans; brits should also have weak-ass nondoctrinal lategame. This will improve team games by a mile. |

All wire should be slightly faster placed. Currently it just takes too much time to wire of anything considering how easy it is to remove barbed wire. |
