That is why i say aec should not lock out bofors! Both should be unlockable. Just pay the resources mate!
I saw some players build mortar pit. But since all chose aec, so no bofors.
I agree with this. The bofors is not that good by itself - having it also lock out the AEC just makes it a no-brainer to skip entirely. |
You can use it for those sweet sweet mines. |
Wait whaaaaat?!
Grenades are affected by directional cover too? Even if they explode behind the cover , while beeing thrown over the cover?!
Yes. If the grenade is thrown over the cover, damage is reduced. Sometimes it is therefor better to tank the grenade while you are in green cover instead of moving out of it, because the moment you lose green cover bonus you take full damage - even if the grenade was thrown over the cover. |
No need to be dominating, even if the match is balanced the Ostwind shows up early. You really need to lose your fuel for quite some time to have it delayed.
You can still get it early yes, but as I said, that is risky. It's risky as it can't fight mediums and your opponent will have a medium tank soon after if you have not been domination, and that will give your Ostwind all sorts of troubles. |
I said it does not deal 10%, pls read again. Heavy cover mitigates half the incoming damage. The squad might get hurt by the far AoE, only 1-2 models will receive near AoE dmg. Overall it hurts the creo by 10-20% of the squad health
You are underestimating the damage by a big margin. By your calculation you would need 5 to 10 rifle nades to clear a mg crew from cover. This is simply not the case. Even if the squad is somehow super spread out in green cover so you can only hit 1 member per grenade (which doesn't happen in the actual game), it will take 8 grenades max. In the actual game however it just takes 2 grenades and a LMG burst or two. |
Many units cause powerspikes. This is not inherently bad. Getting an Ostwind is a risk unless you have been dominating the early game, so there is a clear risk/reward situation. Ostwind itself is fine in terms of stats. No changes needed imo. |
Did you know that even the riflenade is affected by directional cover? Even mortars do. If the Vickers is on heavy cover even if the gren squad scores a riflenade dead center, it only damages around 10% to the whole squad (not that the riflenade deals 10% dmg only). Bundlenades too, unless you flanked the HMG.
It's impossible for a rifle nade hit to do 10% damage on a direct hit. Even if you only hit 1 model in green cover directly and not hit any others, it will still do 12.5% damage to the squad (40 damage). However, units clump up in cover, and hitting a 4-man squad in green cover with a rifle nade will usually do something like 33-50% damage to the squad. |
The fact remains that both axis factions need strongheavies more than allied factions. Soviets can easily dominate without an IS-2 as USF can without the Pershing. Ost is supposed to have a strong late game in compensation for early/mid game weakness. Thats why their heavy should of course be better than the heavy of factions that dominate early/mid game.
This is a mindset problem. It might have been the idea 6 years ago that Ostheer was supposed to be a late game faction, but that idea has changed a long time ago. You are not supposed to just win games by surviving the early/mid game until you can get your OP heavy tank. You are supposed to outplay your opponent in every stage of the game to get your win. |
I don't think UKF has too much healing. OKW have medics, med crates, and a bunch of self-healing units. Wehr has medics, first aid vet ability, and halftrack healing. I'd say UKF is on par with these. |
Unit have come to a level where brute force is better than combined armes.
Thus Ostheer should not get buffs the other faction should get nerfs.
The only way to make all factions play like Ostheer, is to turn every faction into Ostheer clones. You can't make a faction like UKF rely as much on combined arms when their combined arms tools are so limited and bad. |
