Ostheer will need to counter with snipers or mortars instead of just vet2 rifle nades. So yes it will do AoE suppression now. The maxim technically always did AoE suppression, it just did extremely little now it will do AoE suppression like all the other machine guns in the game do. Excellent, thanks for the info (so the maxim has suppression AoE of 10 then?). So now the Maxim will be able to suppress blobs finally, but not as well as the MG42. That's fair in my opinion. But not the same suppression AoE. So it's still not really clear how good it will be now. Might actually suppress 2 squads holding hands now without having to switch targets manually, but I doubt it will do anything more than that since it just does not have the AoE. In: Lobby

Thread: Patch July 21st preview with Dusty and Luvnest13 Jul 2015, 18:45 PM This will really shake up the meta and will be a breath of fresh air for the game. I am really looking forward to play it. I love the attention the howitzers received (hope they also fixed the ml-20 vet 3 bug where vet 2 cooldown bonus was lost). The tech changes look amazing, really looking forward to heavier usage of soviet light vehicles, which in turn makes units like the OKW Puma more appealing. Also really loving the near-complete removal of the call-in meta. Would have to see if doctrines like Mechanized assault and Shock Rifle tactics don't become the norm now since they still don't really require teching beyond T2. Pack Howitzer buff seems a little bit much, the unit was already very deadly, 380mp feels low for it. Overall very good stuff. In: Lobby
