I see what you mean Aerohank, but I think what happened was Breaking Brad himself suspected Kubel spam might be working too well, so he set out to test it. If he hasn't used it himself how is he supposed to know if it needs to be tuned down? He's on the balance team - his job isn't to show case how perfect play, it's to work on finding and fixing problems.
And of course in order to test this he needs to exploit everything he can - high level play is all about using every advantage you can get, so it's hardly a good test of kubel spam if he refrains from truck pushing, since in the natural game environment, truck pushing would also be present.
He wasn't making fun of you before he just made a joke to lighten the mood, is all.

Well, thinking positive about it Brad has provided a very good build order that will help ruin 1v1's for awhile.
I am slightly afraid of that. I only play OKW from time to time because I like getting games in faster than 15 minutes (when I play it's almost always 90-95% axis). So gonna be facing plenty of 3x Kwagens for a while. Oh well. Time to adapt in the meanwhile.

I disagree that flaming people is fine if they're using an "abuse strat." When I'm fencing, I don't scream at my opponent during the bout even if they're doing something obnoxious... and I would expect similar conduct in any other sport. Now, if you wanna discuss it with them after the match, that's another thing. But screaming at someone during competition itself is never okay in any sport, e or otherwise, in my book.

Just imagine it in 4vs4... Reflect perfectly the state of the game.

I expect a developer to not troll, abuse or make fun of a player. If he wants to test strat I was thought that they have a beta server to try these things.
Any thing in the game that's not cheating is within the bounds of sportsmanship. Doesn't matter if it's too good or not. There's no rule in the game saying you can't build 3 Kubel wagens and then spam JLI.
People want gaming/e-sports to be treated like regular sports, but they're not willing to raise their conduct to that standard. It's silly.

Do you think that was fine? Well, good for you. If that's the "high level" strategy this game can offer then I foresee for CoH2 a short future in ESL.
And of course, no new players getting hooked with the game if they are abused like that in their first games.
