I think it's bad that my 900 rank has anything to do with my input. Maybe we need to have a minimum rank to contribute, since the experiences of the best players are the only ones welcome.
The problems with most of these arguments would be better served by making changes to axis units. The armor change to m36, doesn't matter to me. However, I used to think that the problem I had with all other USF AT weapons was they had shit penetration, but that's not the actual problem. When I grab an axis weapon, they suck too. Axis armor values are just not balanced. Maybe some allied heavies have this problem too. The fact is, regardless of whether I am using an allied or axis anti tank gun, they all bounce on axis stuff. Pak and raketen bounce on panthers and tigers. Frequently too. The sherman is pretty bad, even vs p4. You think p4 vs m36 is unfair because 1 shot may ping off or it has lower range? Try sherman vs puma, that's an even worse matchup. Puma can kite the sherman all day long, massively outrange it, seems faster(doesn't matter anyway, since it's firing out the fog most of the time). Sherman gets wrecked by a cheaper unit. Stug vs Sherman is almost the same thing(have to flank duh).
I don't think that lowering axis armor values will affect 1v1 much either. I don't think the players at the top are risking their games on bounced shots, they are making better calculated assaults and flanks. Am I wrong? Are top players back there talking after a game "good thing my panther bounced those two atg shots, that could have cost me the game." The unbalanced armor values allow people to play lazier when they play as axis, which is exactly what I do when I play axis. I'm lazy af and usually still win with relative ease. It's boring, that's why I don't play axis. In coh1, axis was difficult, even with the cool tanks. However, I couldn't just park my shit in front of atg's and look back 10 seconds later and expect them to not be a burning wreck. I still had to flank. I had to think. I don't have to think when I play axis in coh2. There is no challenge I don't have a tool for as axis in coh2. When I get beat as axis in coh2, it's because the other guys had much more cumulative skill than my team.

T34/76 is NOT a joke on my hands; Maybe on your hands you make it suck shit? but on me, No. I can kill a stug with a little micro, go toe to toe with a Panzer 4. Is it a joke? LOL T34/85 is apparently a very good tank. But no one says it "one hit wipe" or elefant penetration; up to a point i think this little medium tank just have too much health and too much firepower with that fuel cost.

I believe some of the people complaining of Jackson superiority are really just not using their tools well when playing as Axis. We also have some playing 1v1 and others on teams. I play more teams and most players I lose to have little trouble with Jackson. Typically they are able to outdo me in force, as anyone knows with this game and the lategame axis force. It just gets to a point where in the right hands, there is little that can be done. Jacksons do not penetrate panther and above 100%. I've bounced 2 and 3 consecutive shots on panthers and tigers. I've bounced shells off the back of tigers. Also, the raketen doesn't not melt against double bar rifles. It is extremely common in team games for okw players to send raketen in to heavily gaurded positions to get shots off on armor and usually they can get 2 or 3 rockets off before retreating or dying. Usually done with 2 of them, it's kind of cheap actually. I've had people send 2 raketen into range of an m2hb, shoot off the shots it needs, retreat and both survive. Allied DPS just isn't sufficient. Sending 2 57mm would be a pathetic disaster for a USF player in the same scenario. Even if an mg42 didn't kill the crew, the shots will likely bounce off the target. It just wouldn't work. It seems like a lot of the nerf calls are getting off topic; the armor of the Jackson. It really doesn't matter if it's armor is nerfed or not. 15% chance to bounce a p4, it happens to me sometimes, but if I never saw another p4 bounce on a Jackson I really wouldn't care. I am not going to bet my match on a 15% chance, so it doesn't matter if it's 15% or 0%. It's funny though that all the complaints in here are about every stat of the jackson other than the armor. I think it is very relevant to not just consider the stats of the Jackson, but also what it is up against. The Jackson should absolutely dominate a p4. 4 shots 100% penetration. There is no reason why it shouldn't, it's singular purpose is that alone. Against heavier armor, you can talk endlessly about the high penetration, but the fact is, on top of a very large bank of health, shots are going to bounce off and if you count those bounced shots as health, you are looking at a gigantic health. Compare that to the Axis perspective, where the complaint is range (don't complain about speed, because there is barely a difference if any with any vehicles that can damage it)and a player who's attention is now focused on controlling that one unit to stay 5 units out of range at all times. Closing in on a jackson might give it 1 shot where the panther can't return fire due to range. You've got a high chance that the 1 shot will bounce off like it basically never happened. The panther isn't going to bounce a shot off the jackson, the best the USF player can hope for is a missed shot. That's 4 solid shots from the panther. The Jackson needs 6 that actually penetrate. That's 6 MINIMUM. The panther is 4 MAXIMUM. Big difference. If axis armor was bouncing shots off the front of allied armor as much as allied armor bounces shots off of axis armor, then I would understand the claims of Jackson being unfair. Regardless of how much higher the penetration is on an allied weapon in comparison to an axis weapon, it barely matters because the two weapons are up against very different challenges. A pak isn't going to bounce shells off of allied armor(some of the UKF stuff will bounce). The 57mm even with higher pen will frequently bounce on heavy armor. To me, the additional penetration doesn't matter/compare to the pak, because the pak isn't facing any armor it can't take on or "zone out". The pak is an EFFECTIVE anti tank weapon. The 57mm is an ineffective anti tank weapon. The Jackson, while still not being as perfect as stock axis solutions is the most effective USF has. Reducing this specialty weapon to be less effective at what it hard counters doesn't seem wise to me. In: COH2 Balance |

I don't really understand why an occasional bounce from a p4 is so unbalanced. When it comes to regular tank battles, other tanks bounce shots off the p4. I've had a p4 miss, but not bounce on an allied tank. When it comes to unfair bouncing it only gets worse as you go up from p4. Axis heavier armor can double or triple their already high health with bounced shots. 57mm, m36, m4, bazooka, all frequently bounce. Axis AT can reliably 4 shot an m36, with p4 sometimes needing 5 on m36. At least with USF, I've had panthers just parked in front of a 57mm, not pay attention to the panther, bounce 4 57mm shots, then notice and move it back. The m36 still has disappearing rounds too, either it doesn't shoot out the barrel or the round disappears when it reaches the target, doing 0 damage. It's quite pathetic, so I really don't see why the p4 sometimes bouncing one shot is anything significant. In: COH2 Balance |

I think the value is too low. It doesn't need to be so high that it never needs to be switched out to AP rounds, but if it's ok for Grenades to damage fighting positions, I don't see the problem in allowing explosive rounds to reliably penetrate bunker armor.
