The puma is counter intuitive. It looks like a scout car but it costs 80 fuel- as much as the stug IIIG. It has a 50mm gun but its range is 50 and penetration is same or better than the medium tanks. It only does 120 damage instead of 160, though.
Frankly, I'm thinking that it's like the M10 wolverine or M18 from VCOH. I was quite surprised that it could easily destroy and damage T-34s and shermans. |
Are they still cheap, though? They cost 80 fuel but are only cheap in terms of manpower. 80 into a Stug will deny you much of a panzer IV. |

Another good one that's in men of war but not in COh2.
Sherman jumbo 76mm and 75mm.
254 Jumbos were converted from Shermans in the war, and they were issued pro rata @ 1 or 2 Jumbos per US armor company. Their main purpose was to spearhead armor columns and deflect fire from German anti-tank guns long enough so the rest of the armor company could fan out. |
you used excel and cloud to make this? |
The main issue I have with AT guns (since forever) is the high pop intake. They should take far less pop- I've thinking 6 is more fair. |
What is the range on the new stug?? |
It was and is still common for Soviet players to not build a single Zis and just spam the T-34 call-ins or regular T-34s with all their fuel. I found that tactic quite stupid even if there was fuel to spare. The T-34s would eventually take losses and they'll be short a fuel reserve to call-in or buy new ones. |
I find that the main cost of the Antitank guns is pop cap. They were a mere 3 in vcoh and you could make an anti-tank wall to support your armor. |
AT guns got buffed big time this patch. They have great penetration now and can move & reposition much faster. However, you need an infantry squad or two to cover them (and panzerfaust/panzershreck/AT nade...)
Lets put it this way: You have a 320 MP tank killer that costs no fuel or munitions. I'd say that munitions/fuel are worth 2 times MP. |
M26 Super Pershing is a must!
Fixed...I remember the pershing from VCOH.
