I get so mad when 3 squads charge my maxim and I can only supress one of them while the other 2 side-step and grenade the hell of my mg. Such a brave little maxim, fighting 3 squads by itself and not even moving under threat of grenade. So brave.... Seriously, so much faction envy. Every faction fanboy cries about grass being greener for every other faction. Everyone wants to trade up to a better unit, beit mg42, pak40, kt, comet etc etc. To many one eye fanboys. I mean I get it, trade offensive capabilities for defensive. I think through how about removing pin from the maxim but increase it's damage (and maybe lower suppression a bit gained back with vet). It's a mad idea but it would be good at supporting conscripts making it more unique than the same as other mgs. I tried making a similar point in an earlier post although i was brainstorming and hadn't fully studied the patch notes. Making the maxim similar to other MGs is one of the easiest routes to balance the unit, but each faction is slowly becoming more and more similar which is extremely disappointing. In my eyes the maxim should be an offensive weapon, thats why it has such quick setup and packup as well as great durability. Increase its damage output and nerf its suppression time and some of its durability. Vet ability could then increase suppression for a period of time. All of this is unlikely though given the timeframe, and I am not completely oposed to the changes in the patch but it is not my preferred option. In: Lobby
Thread: GCS Balance Preview1 Apr 2017, 12:05 PM Maxims are at their annoying best when spammed and when used in opening build orders. Being in the same structure as at guns also exacerbates the problem. Don't get to fancy with the solutions. Delay their arrival, adjust reiforce cost, increase pop cap and much of the problem is solved. If you want to be bold remove a-move from all team weapons thus increasing skill cap. Personally i see maxims as a damage multiplier not a suppression platform. Maxims should be used in conjuction with other unit to make up for the lack of damage from cons etc. In: Lobby
Thread: MARCH 28th UPDATE24 Mar 2017, 22:04 PM Its quite sad how, as each day brings us closer to the WBP patch, the more apparent and glaringly obvious the true state of the game becomes ( it's fked BTW ). Prior to now, there was no alternative. The player either decides to not play or play and run the cancer gauntlet. Its like battered spouse syndrome where the victim cannot imagine a better life because the present seems the norm. I just had a game, where, with the game in the balance the fking usf morter in the space of 40 secs wiped 2 squads and decimated a third which wasn't even near the fight or stationary. Then when I flanked with the scout car, the morter just packed up and pissed off home with no casualties. The entire future of this franchise hangs on the hope that the mod team can turn things around. If relic screw this patch through incompetence or arrogance then it is surely gg. In: COH2 Gameplay

Bombarded Refinery and Market Ruins were decent maps too. Not sure why they are removed? Add things like creeping barrage for mortars so you can react to enemy infantry pushes or retreats. That way you earn every bullshit whipe. +1 Indirect fire is actually a bigger problem than most believe it to be. Many of the units that are being nerfed can often be kept in check by smart use of combined arms and mines but indirect fire will regularly counter that smart play with little skill required and from relative safety. I am happy for indirect fire to be effective if it is cost appropriate, requires adequate user micro and is hard countered by flanking units. The wbp will remove some of the bs surrounding indirect fire but the scope does not allow for changes that will discourage indirect fire being present in every game as a no brainer. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Winter Patch11 Mar 2017, 10:18 AM 1. The amount of time this patch has taken is a HUGE slap in the face to all Coh2 fans. (seriously they treat their fans like fucking dogs) 2. If there are bugs, especially game breaking bugs, it will almost certainly be the final nail in the coffin for the game. 3. This patch is just the tip of the iceberg as far as fixing this game, the next patch cannot take 6 fucking months with zero fucking communication with the community. In: COH2 Balance
