They are refunded a percentage based on completion percentage only if they cancel it. If the truck is destroyed, they get nothing back. They also lose the supply halftrack guaranteed. Thread: Emplacement meta...27 Mar 2016, 02:01 AM Emplacements are really good, especially the bofors because it's very cheap but when positioned well it can do a ton of damage to most mid game units. I also am a huge fan of building a 17lber first thing in tier 3 so that when their PzIV or whatever comes strolling around it's basically dead if he doesn't know it's there. Much better than getting a Cromwell and trying to fight it out toe to toe in a lot of cases. My guess is emplacement meta is in team games with the new commander. I've trolled a few people who build double ISG to counter it by activating the HQ auto counterbarrage, and the fortified emplacements themselves are beefy. (Plus you can get a mortar pit in 2 minutes which in 4v4 is probably pretty strong.) In: UKF Strategies

It used to be balanced: when buying a second squad was expensive and slow and volks were crappy. They also had less resource income to slow down their tech a bit. (Which meant gaining extra map control at the start of the game didn't snowball.) They also had Luchs come out a few minutes later, which was more balanced. (Luchs was a 9-11 minute unit before, now it's a 6-7) I don't think sturms are the root of the problem, although making them cheaper continues to be a full retard design decision. How do you mean? As far as I'm aware, Grenadier LMG is the only LMG upgrade that applies on the squad and applies only a single weapon. Ober MG34's might do it too? Most weapon upgrades are pick ups or add 2 to the squad. But yeah it's not so much a coding issue as it is implementation. Most of Relic's unit stuff is done via .rbf files or whatever which is edited in a GUI interface. It depends on how they implemented it there, and often times Relic copy pastes existing stuff to make new stuff. But sometimes they'll copy paste something unintuitive, like minesweepers to make LMG, which results in these sorts of oversights. They'd be better off if they made everything from scratch to purpose to be honest. In: COH2 Bugs

Granted, I also favour lots of light vehicle play and lots of mines while most people seem to prefer lots of panzerschrecks and assault grenades. In: COH2 Balance
