well all i can say is ost sniper finally got to play a roll in the fights. just think how often ost sniper is used before the patch compare to su snipers, su sniper have chance to retreat when there is 1 model die, ost sniper well 1 model die is wipe so he got no chance. so i think it shouldn't die so easy from mortar shell or AT gun that easy.

i could see how that would be an annoyance. personally, i got into the habit of click-dragging into cover in coh1 just to make sure facings were right, so i don't suffer from that as much as others probably do.

a simple cost reduction would do. the KT is kinda at a good spot now, nothing too insane, you cant really rush it into combat and it finally has counters. its still a power house against most allied tanks.
its gun performance is really good, decrewing AT guns in 1-2 hits and killing 5 models per shot. if the armour is going up, its accuracy and AOE needs to be toned down, so its wouldnt wipe infantry so often.
remember that 1kt vs 5x AT guns vid? yes we dont want that ever again, thats what 425 armour does to things.
That video is those AT gun got fucked up by RNG. pre patch i used to use 3 jackson to kill KT and worked most times. now i only need 2. I also use KT most time too and use it as spearhead to push a little but i don't use it to against tanks first since it is more effective against weapon teams, so my 1st priority is always weapon teams like AT gun, then HMG teams, then tanks if it still have enough health, or i pull it back. I let my volks and panther(if i have 1) to deal with my enemy armor units. right now KT is little bit too pricey for its performance it need little speed buff or price reduction like fuel price drop to 230 |
Look in this game where vehicles are required to get into much closer range to fight and require more shots to kill and also how weaker tanks can penetrate stronger ones frontally unlike in real life. I think its fair that tanks should be able to reverse as fast as moving forward. All penalizing reverse speed would do is just nerf german tanks/more expensive ones. And promote camping TD's, or other vehicles with higher than standard 40 range.
Reversing wasn't as big a deal in real life as in game because tanks usually sat in place and engaged from a distance. Optimally atleast.
All this would do is indirectly nerf Tiger, panther, king tiger, and is2. Suddenly jacksons, su85s, and multiple medium tanks get more of an upperhand because heavy tanks would not be able to escape unless they showed rear armor. Either way they are 100% fucked, especially with engine damage. So don't promote reverse speed decrease if some tanks are pigeon holed into getting up close to others, reverse speed nerf only makes sense if the standard tank range is 50 instead of 40, TD's still retain 60, this would just fuck up other things. RNG Armor has no value if they essentially can't escape properly.
All around bad realism idea to implement. Its on the level of requiring squads and tanks to have a finite amount of ammo.
reverse speed is nerfed is due to SU85, SU85 use to kite Tiger tank to death. before the reverse speed nerf. one time i use 3 SU85 kiting 2 tigers in the end i lost 1 SU85(due to bad pathing that SU85 try to turn and got caught by tigers) and killed those 2 tiger tank (other two SU85 had no damage because it was outside tiger's FOV all the time and since reverseing tiger was missing the SU85 all the time in return fire). since SU85 have longer fire range and front view range than most tanks and pretty good speed and able to fire while moving as long facing right direction so it was too OP (if use right can stay outside the ost tank FOV and fire at ost tanks entirely) and very difficult for OST tanks to chase them down. so removing reverse speed penalty, we will back at SU85 kiting age again |
I will say make it decrew when less than 2 men, change the precision strike to something like concentration fire which barrage splat in a small radius or a incendiary round. precision strike is just too good to decrew weapon teams |
This is actually an interesting comment, I don't know if Relic assigns the same colors in any UI and don't know which color is assigned to me.
In 4vs4, Enemy players share 2 or 3 colors, purple and red and pink which sometime lead me in confusion. I think Purple player (facing me at start) is pushing somewhere else but no, its another player...
BTW, for those who read us and don't understand what I am talking about, go into option, interface and set the player/color parameter on so every game a color will be assigned to a player (like in a replay)
I know what u mean man, 1 time in a 3v3, early game i fight off 1 conscript after another with my cute Kübelwagen + 2 volks and 1 assault engineer with my battlegroup HQ but got over runed in the end, then i realized i fighting two players because the color so close i thought they are from same player and think this guy must cheating with MP |
i say don't save for KT until you have a panther first. any early medium tank from Allies other than TD could ruin your infantry force you need a mobile tank than can force away enemy armor units. and don't depend on Raketenwerfer and shreks to force enemy armor off, Sherman, bulldozer, IS2 usually could 1-2shot force those two units into retreat or sq wipe if RNG god isn't with u(i got 4 sq wips from a sherman 1 shot in a game it is not fun at all).and those units hits field way earlier than KT. SO focus on holding the line first then think about save for KT to seal the deal.

another thing i hate about US force armor that they could use decrew and recrew to cheat pop cap, in a 2v2 game my enemy the USF player bring out 7 jacksons while i only have a panther and KT because i reach pop cap, another guy had 1 IS2 and 2 SU85 and my teammate have 1 panther and 1 P4, 4 tanks vs 10 tanks how could i win against this? another game 1v1 when my KT arrives, USF have 5 Easy 8s can relic do something about this? may be decrew by player vehicles as long as it didn't change owner it will still take the population? |
I like the idea, however i think it is little bit too many infantries i count 7 infantry groups and no mortar team or indirect fire team (could have CPC Type 92 battalion gun [which is japanese gun but CPC use it all the time], should function like OKW LeGI 18 but shorter range more damage?), no HMG team (PMT type 24 maxim pretty neat redesign Maxim that can use as AA HMG like those mount on the tanks, should have ability to toggle AA mode),

over night trap should change to some thing like "Behind enemy line activities" that will decap and destroy cache of a point, if there is no enemy unit at that area that time, if there is enemy units in the area will not decap or destroy cache but reveal them.
China never die change to a passive ability "Guerrilla Warfare" that can build hideouts that is invisible to enemy and troops can hide inside when use hold fire can act as trenches but revealed once spoted or fire from. also CPC units able to build tunnel between houses or bushes (dig to there) so like a HMG garrison in a building CPC fighters can dig to the building and flush them out and take over the building if there is only 1 sq and kill 1-2 models in process. dig time base on distances.

how about fix colors for players, i mean in 3v3, 4v4 some time my teammate says "yellow help me", or "green go flank" I had no idea who they referring to. because we all see ourselves as blue, and i see teammate's unit which could be other colors i don't know who's units is it unless i click it.
also more range indicators like mine swiper, nade range, tanks shooting range for elephant, jagtiger, ISU 152 and have a hot key able to toggle it off and on. I think it could be great for unskilled players. |
