Just a wild stab in the dark, but its not to do with your video settings is it? Have you checked you can see grass on an existing map?
Sometimes things like that get dumbed down on low settings. |
When hans was pop capped, The OSt which other wise didnt do much could have rushed Andys base and killed a squad or two before being killed itself. He should have used his units to force engagements to do damage at the same time as being killed, and called the Ace sooner.
When he did call the Ace, he'd already lost half of his army. |
Hi Nox, I'm aiming to do the same as you.
I think player made maps *could* make it into live rotation, but obviously they will have to be really good and prove popular in the steam workshop 1st.
I'm thinking basically a mix of your criteria, small to medium, some houses, not too many, some chokes, ocassional open bits.
I want to try have a lot of fun with true sight.
I thi k the hardest part is getting a good layout that is interesting, creates good battles and is balanced |
Stuka strafe will kill a full health IS2 on it own now if the IS2 is engine damaged.
At least these abilities are late game and require a lot of munis. Relic moved away from American airborne strafe and Infantry arty at 2 CP which instantly countered the 1st pak for a quick M8.
They made arty more late game. |
They could at least take it out of rotation and have it for custom games or comp stomps. I guess they will do that eventually, until then, that's what vetoes are for |

First of all, thank you to everyone who has made tutorials available.
Ive been thinking about some ideas for maps, I just today started to get the ball rolling. I thought planning out the sectors would be reasonably straight forward on paper, but Ive found out that its a million times harder trying to get a configuration that feels right.
Its a lot more complicated than I had guessed, and thats even before turning it into a real concept.
Initially I wanted to do something origional by having both sides bases offset to the same side (or even adjacent corners) with a fuel straight inbetween them, then other resources spread to the further side of the map, where two of the VPs would be.. but I got scared of that idea.. troop traveling times might mess it up.
So Ive decided to stick to a design closer to some of the standard maps, and just implement my own 'theme'.
Do any experienced guys have good tips for sector placement? |
Bought this recently, but not had chance to try it fully yet.
You need to use them with main force of cons, because u need AT nade and Molotov. Also cheaper price helps with needing to pay for partisans on top.
I would never start the game intending to use them, rather have them as an option and if a really good opportunity arrises, pop them. Otherwise go with a stronger commander.
I'm not sure about using them with T3? Even with mark target, T34s have a hard time against paks and tigers or panthers. I would be inclined to use them with SU85 so you have real AT, and tank hunters that manage to retreat after infiltrating duties can protect SU85s from flank.
Also if you spawn a squad to deal with a vehicle behind enemy lines, but have real reason to think it will not survive the retreat, perhaps just leave it in the building to avoid dropping a weapon.. Just an idea though. |
I actually think sport is super general, and can include practically everything.
What your talking about above is team sport. I would certainly call all athletics sports, just not team sports.
Motor sport, is defiantly sport (of sorts). Just not the same as more athletic sports.
I race mountain bikes competitively, which does not fit into your team and tactics definition of sport, but it is most certainly sport to me.
So just like motor sport has its own name, I think esports should just stick to its own terminology. |
That ISU price change is interesting, previously it was pretty much a case of doing T1 + T2 and using that as only vehicle, so fuel wasn't hard to get.
Now it should be more attainable to get 1 T34 and an M5 to work with ZiS and then call an ISU, which would make it a more stable strategy.
Conserving manpower will be the issue in that case. |
