Thread: British base smoke barrage28 May 2019, 07:52 AM I think the British design is just to have lots of raw firepower, without loads and loads of utility abilities. That's why you have to make do without lots of things other armies have, but units have really high damage output. In: COH2 Balance

What a load of rubbish, axis vehicles are way more survivable than allied ones with all abilities considered. You dont really need to risk axis vehicles too much, your supposed to play carefully with them and grind your opponent down. Allies however need to make early impact count with things like T70, so they need to risk them in order to press the advantage. Ost has way more issues while stuck in T1/2 than when they get T3/4 out. Best bet is learning how to use the infantry based AT to best effect. You dont HAVE to kill something like a T70, just soft counter it so its not winning the game for opponent, once your armour arives then things get much easier. Pio has tellars MG42 has AP ammo Gren has faust Sniper has incendiary round which can finish a LV in a pinch. Just gotta learn to be confident and clever with those abilities. In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: Wehrmacht problems. 25 May 2019, 07:52 AM For Ost 1v1, its nice to have the 7% extra faust range, combined with a doc that gives your inf sprint. This makes it way easier to snare those allies vehicles that are trying to wipe your squads, which at least keeps them repairing a bit and hopefully you can finish with a pak at some point, or simply just survive until P4. Thread: CoH3 will be MODERN WARFARE ??????22 May 2019, 13:36 PM Korean would be a great setting, not too advanced weapons so easy to maintain coh flavour and feels. Also quite critically, both sides were somewhat evenly matched, so its kinda easy to feel comfortable with equal sides in pitched battle, which is what makes WW2 setting so intriguing. In: Lobby
Thread: Move soviet sniper to T222 May 2019, 13:14 PM If you see T1 opening with sniper, get infantry camo, put your MGs in cover, with grens camo close to it, he's extremely likely to run his sniper and or M3 into MG fire and faust range (sprint also helps). From there grab G43s and you can pressure snipers when some of his units fall back. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: My defunct Pgren buff idea19 May 2019, 06:45 AM PG isn't assault infantry, main idea is you put it behind cover, likely near support weapons and enemy assault infantry has a difficult time closing against it, especially with the bundled nade placed into their path. Thread: Some Love to OST12 May 2019, 11:33 AM If you find repair speed to be a problem, you playing the faction wrong, it's that simple. Don't rely on your armour, it's just a tool that helps you tip the balance. You can't fight allied tank destroyers head on with armour (exception a well used and supported elifant). If you play correctly, repairing isn't that big a deal with Ost. Yeah it's a tricky faction, but it's harder to be defensive and push off wave after wave of assault. In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: Some Love to OST12 May 2019, 10:41 AM I dont have a problem with Ost repair speed, because i try not to expose my armour too much. Paks is whats going to kill allied armour for you, panther is perfect for adding a bit of speed so you can get that final shot to kill a crippled tank, but you have to do the brunt of the damage with paks. Panther with its armour, speed, panzer smoke and blitz to escape once you land the killing blow, is a very very good unit. In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: Some Love to OST11 May 2019, 21:48 PM Jump back to quoted post11 May 2019, 20:29 PMachpawel So - repair bunker asap The reason Ost has slow repair is because your supposed to avoid taking too much damage with your armour, there are loads of abilities to help you do that (panzer smoke, command tank, hull down for range, blitz to evade etc etc.) Slow repair is punishment for not keeping them safer.
