Valentine is a non-issue. It works as a last chance type of vehicle when you don't have the fuel for T3 but that's about it.
This wasnt my intention. I dont think, that it is an issue. Still, it feels odd compared to similar LV´s from other factions. |
I guess being
-doctrinal
-most expensive fuel-wise
-limited to 1
-with average weapon
warrants it increased durability.
Its simply too expensive for 1 faust to cripple it and it isn't exactly T-70 level threatening.
Well, it only costs 10 fuel more than a t70; Puma is doctrinal as well and almost as expensive.
As for its threat: it can almost as well harras units on retreat but trades some AI capability for at capability. It bascially is a mix between puma and t70. With that in mind, it should be snared with one faust.
The only thing going for the valentine is its limitation, but if you compare it to a t70 or puma, you never the more than 1 at the same time on the field, exept for cheese. |
I have some questions regarding the UKF valentine tank.
1. If i am not mistaken, it is a call in unit- why? Especially since these early tanks - like the Ost puma - arent supposed to be call ins anymore. ( Personally i dont see a problem here, because it is limited to 1 and doesnt come in as a panic unit)
2. For a 80 fuel tank that comes this early it is really irritating, that you cant snare it with one faust. Since you can snare any LV, which in my opinion the valentine is (especially if you compare it to a t70), i would have expected to snare it in my games with one faust at full health. Is there a special reason to it, exept UKF beeing the worst faction at least before the patch. |
As title. Since day 1 was always stated that snares + at was bad desing. Why penals got both?
Just curious, like if pgrens had sherks + faust!
i think you cant compare both. The at snare is situational, and is the only option available for t1 russians. GUess they are screwed otherwise.

mind your units composition. combined arms.
stop and shoot your tiger.
tiger is easy to vet up, and it's rof and buffed turret makes it a better killer.
the secret is to vet up. no longer it can OP solo.
l2p issue.
brits are still shitty without late game unit.
I did vet it up to vet 3. Nonetheless. Infatry could perfecctly march next to him without beeing punished for it. Clearing support weapons and retreat. What is the point of a heavy tank now? P4s are now better at AI which seems stupid to me. |
A miracle unit effective against everything is no longer a miracle unit effective against everything.
Time to remember other units exist, hopefully heavy meta is dead now.
But now it is a unit, that is good at nothing and gets beaten up by everything. Pak penetration values were set high, because of strong heavy tanks. Now, they still fuck up heavys but heavys cant retaliate.
A change was necessary indeed, but now heavys - the tiger at least - is at the edge of borderline uselessness, while everything else still counters them, as if they were heavy hitters. |
Upon testing the new tiger I, i have to say, that the nerf was too heavy. IN several games now the tiger couldnt even punish riflemen blobs charging over red cover. After several shots it had only 1 kill over many games. Even after vetting up it could do shit against infantry.
In my opinion the 12 cp nerf was and a slight aoe nerf would have been enough. The new 30% turret rotation is utter garbage.
But god bless 60 range td jackson which could put the tiger out of his misery.
RIP Ost. RIP Tiger. You will be missed
Moderation. PLs move to balance |
I witnessed a certain "bug" in one of my games today. I am not sure, wether it was a bug or if i have simply overlooked something but:
After two enemy squads retreated, with one man left, the icon above their head (in both cases riflemen) dissapeared. Even though i hadnt had time to focus them down, i dont now wether or not i could have clicked on them.
Unfortunately i didnt save the replay, so im not sure, if i did see that correctly.
Anyone else here, who witnessed something similar? |
Pak should simply moved to t4 and replace scott. Mortar move to Captain, Scott then could become doctrinal.
That would kill to bird with one stone.

It's 10 times sillier to pretend that the T34-76 is just a long range super fast nearly-unblockable snare with a guaranteed long-duration stun even on full health units. And even if it were, the fact that it's able to guarantee kills on tanks which cost 250% the price is kinda a big problem.
1) Faust doesn't stop ram.
2) Faust doesn't trigger when a tank is at full health.
3) Faust only has 15 range. Ram can start from easily triple that range.
4) Faust also takes a long time to load and fire. Even if you start the faust the moment the t34 starts its ram, the T34-76 can still ram the target before faust hits.
5) You seem to have no idea how insanely fast a ram can take place. Once you hear the engine whirl it's like 2 seconds to impact.
There's like a billion things wrong with your imaginary example of android-like players landing a hit on the T34 AND landing a faust on it BEFORE the T34-76 even starts its ram. You somehow think that asking for superhuman levels of micro and reaction JUST to counter a sloppily executed attack by a rank 5000 player is reasonable. I'd like to see you dodge a ram with a Jagdtiger against anyone reasonably within your skill bracket. I'll bet a thousand bucks you can't even do it 20% of the time. I can't even dodge rams 20% of the time with a Tiger against weaker opponents.
When the rank no. 4 Soviet tells you it's a problem there's a pretty good chance that your "just use a panzerfaust LUL" comments are utter rubbish that have no relevance to an actually competitive game.
