Thread: Matchmaking bullshit vs Jove3 Oct 2015, 12:01 PM I'm with those who welcome the chance to learn and get tested when meeting higher ranked players. Ofc you'll mostly lose. So what? It's only bits and bytes. OTOH at rare occasions, you'll win. And then it's a party! I've met high ranked players (in team games) and had that rare winning experience. It's a moral boost. 'Garden them', 'Garden now!' or 'Garden church' etc. Garden my behind! A garden has no place in a warzone - except to be plowed up by tanks, maybe. But I suspect that Americans have violated this otherwise charming word and turned it into something vulgar. And then our wonderful, international gaming community has adopted it without having any idea of the meaning of the word. Gentlemen, please stop this nonsensical blabber! It was fun to be a part of (despite an agonising 500-0 defeat :/ Damned MG spam that I hadn't encountered before), but I realise that for practical purposes it may be necessary to limit the # of participants in future tourneys. AFAIR in some of the previous tourneys a history of no-shows was a disqualifier. Maybe that could be used to cut the number of sign-ups NeXT time? In: Lobby
