Also 40 fuel are you been serious that's nothing in general + considering its 50 fuel just to give the conscripts the same abilities grens get from start and soviet teching costs more so its not really alot. Also I could argue that the 120mm costs alot more MP. They are different units that perform different roles and have different costs there not supposed to face of against one another. People compare units like for like all the time when that's not how it works otherwise we would have two identical factions. MHT may not have the same range but its easier to move around and less vulnerable and has the flame ability which is amazing for preventing caps, destroying MG/AT gun encampments, buildings and blocking areas to infantry. Also 120mm is doctrinal on only a few is it 2? commanders and Germans get the mortar HT on at least 2 as well which is also a beast with the fire bomb that can kill multiple support units and AT guns just as easily tbh and it doesn't need vet and its easier to keep alive. 120mm can be annoying yes but so is getting all your cons or guards wiped like a hot knife through butter out whenever they meet any German infantry. People just get annoyed at units when they lose against them, I do the same everyone does. Nerfing the 120mm would make it no good most of the time as opposed to some of the time like it is now = no one uses it + I find it kills as many of your own units as it does the enemy half the time anyway. Thread: Ostruppen seriously7 Oct 2013, 16:37 PM Totally agree with OP'ness. I was watching Hans play last night with ostruppen and he literally spammed like 30 trenches filled them with squads all getting crazy buffs he could build trenches faster than katyusha's tanks and mortars could destroy them. Obviously free to build trenches anywhere on map is silly. Also I remember reading somewhere they give better cover bonuses than heavy cover? not sure if that's true but if so it makes them way to powerful. (then again can you do the same with sandbags?) Other problems imo are that they re-enforce too quickly/cheaply and are hence impossible to kill as you can only shoot at so many at once so there low HP isn't as much of an issue, especially when there in cover. Meanwhile there dishing out decent damage considering there is usually a 3-1 ratio. Finally they get vet very quickly, not sure what bonuses this gives but they seemed way to hardy. Vetting on a call in weak non trained infantry seems silly tbh but w/e. Also I thought the whole way relic was going was soviets spam weak infantry, what happened there? what's next a 50 MP call in army of 30 soviet farmers with pitchforks! On the counter side con spam does seem strong also atm. In: COH2 Balance

Maybe have it like BF3 when you can reset your current stats whenever you want? So on BF3 your global/entire stats history can not be reset and ppl/yourself can view this if they want but you can reset your normally displayed stats such that the displayed stats are only from the latest reset date e.g. after a patch or w/e. Thread: Winter or Spring Maps [Developer]19 Sep 2013, 15:40 PM Personally I really Like the variety of play as it is now when you play the same map winter/spring. Totally different tactics and game play, blizzards can be annoying but mostly that's because you have to micro more but hey in rl that's exactly what it was like. I really like having to think about moving my troops and using sniper flares and arty on known camp spots etc or using field guns more effectively to take advantage of the blizzard. I think as someone else mentioned they missed a trick with the cold tech e.g. snow shoe upgrades would be awesome as well as the camo system been better implemented. I would like to see some more winter maps for sure but also as mentioned by others more maps like in the campaign with big densely packed cities where moving armor is risky but rewarding and infantry run the show. Or assaulting fortresses like was it the poznan map with the big walls and moats, imagine a vp game where the competing VP's were in a bad ass fort that once you take control of was easier to hold and fortify but you start to lose map control as you get sieged in, maybe the majority of resources been external to the fort or something. Aesthetics wise winter looks better I think but summer maps with rain and mud would be equally cool. In: COH2 Gameplay

I guess then once you get to vet 1 or 2 its better to not spam the arty mode so it actually auto attacks things? that is assuming its like the Su-76 and cannot fire at all for a while after barraging? or am I wrong on this also? A good idea to just mess with the MG42s is to be a complete nob and ignore it. However, depending on the map (such as City 17) you're going to need to however commit to certain locations. (However, the munition point on summer is a VERY crucial point to decap to mitigate resource income) so if it's a map of issue, I'd recommend hitting on the munition alot more and ignoring fuel, and invest in safe-fuel caches instead. Yeah I would say once it gets to late game it is more balanced I find it usually depends on how much vet squads/vehicles each team has built up. Eg a vetted panzer will own a Su and likewise a vetted t70 can take on a p5. On the whole the armor balance seems OK soviets have SU but Germans get much better range of tanks and their heavy tanks are better I would say. Infantry I think Germans still have the edge especially vetted lmg grens just look at the dps tables. Will try your tactic on the munis and just ignore the fuel caches and hmgs, could work in some cases I guess, as long as you can hold the victory points. As you say very map dependent some maps you have no choice. In: COH2 Balance

The buff to the T-34 was good, but still not enough to offset just how good the SU-85 already is. As soon as the majority of people realize they can still "LOL-reverse" out of anything as long as they have a spotter, the meta is going to go straight back to t1+t4. If you play careful and manage to get one to vet one you can just use the blitzkrieg ability it rapes su 85's its just pitiful watching it try and turn as it gets nailed happened to me several times today. I tried to button it but they just used smokes. In: COH2 Balance
