So if the ISU didn't exist the elephant would be not OP (or viewed as op, because he isn't OP). And the Elephant is a bit usefull against IS2, and because of Company of Callins, the Elephant is often a good choice, because you neeeed him vs the OP ISU anyway. Really? Is this your logic? Elephant was crazy OP long before ISU. The meta was different so it was rare to see one. Why would you wait for super late call in if you could have a bunch of T3/T4 tanks roaming the field due to German armour being far superior. Someone said you can build ZiS and counter Ele this way. Well from my experience it doesn't work because I can snipe Soviet tanks without even getting into range? You want to rush in and close the distance? Go ahead! My support is waiting for you while I'll retreat my Ele so it can still snipe your tanks from the distance. Play something else than 3v3 from time to time to see things as they are. In: COH2 Gameplay

As for germans, Elefant is the best (and maybe only viable) choice against heavy tanks and is performing just against tanks. I would never put an equal mark between these two. From german perspective, what would you prefer? Teching to T4 , building panthers or call-in an Elefant? Problem is, everything german faction has against heavy armor this patch except Elefant, isn't worth its money or it's to thin. Care to elaborate? In: COH2 Balance

Plenty of people have made good arguments to that effect even if they don't like either unit in general. Yes, I do. I used both Elephant and ISU=152 a lot. Especially with recent meta game when it seems to be a must in any team game and I kind of feel sorry for the Soviet that I can just sit so far behind using Sniper to scout or scopes for sight and shoot every Soviet tank from across the map. And they can't do anything about it. I usually have 2 or 3 vet2 or 3 PzIV and maybe some AT guns at this point to protect it and I will just slowly snipe these tanks with the heaviest Sniper rifle there is. If they try to rush or flank me my support will do the trick. Even mighty ISU-152 can do sheep as I will simply kill it with Elephant due to the second being hard counter to the first. So yes, based on my experience whomever thinks only ISU is broken and Elephant not is not interested in having a balanced game. In: COH2 Gameplay

I've probably played close to 50 matches this patch (Mostly 2v2 and 3v3), about 20 as soviets, 30 as germans. I've encountered the ISU very frequently and yes, it penetrates the elefant every single shot. I've also used the ISU for a few of those matches. It does and if you don't believe me, try playing Jaeger Armor. The ISU is simply a better unit. It can penetrate any tank the germans have at the moment. Elephant have 100% accuracy advantage. When I sue Elephant against ISU-152. Ele ALWAYS wins. Especially with scopes equipped. In: COH2 Balance

Unless of course you play on fairly low rank and blobing is a common thing. I usually have to reposition Maxim at least once to catch another German squad closing in from the flank or outside of Maxims con of fire. That being said I would like to see 0.5 second set up time decrease for MG42. In: COH2 Balance
