Buls.......it
It's easier to whine than gain some skill isn't? |
So the coh1 King Tiger also made you quit that game? Cause that was also paid for afterwards by upkeep, yet I heard nobody complain about that like they do about the Ace.
Are you really going to justify this game braking unit? |
You didn't get my point. I am talking about games designed with item shop in mind from the start.
I am talking about changes that would make you buy something from shop to progress, to stay competitive. |
I hate Tiger Ace and we're really past the time it should be changed. I gave a decent proposition myself in the other thread.
There is a lot off whining on this and official forum but I don't think this will affect balance decisions as they were spot on if we don't consider "new commander balance".
This is my biggest fear atm. I mean I hope they've learned the lesson and we won't see anything like early Soviet Industry or current Tiger Ace anymore but I have this feeling deep inside that I'm just fooling myself.
I absolutely hate this modern game design based on micro transactions or item shop. I mean CoH2 alone was design with this in mind. I'm ok with buying skins, colour paterns etc. but I was never ok with buy able commanders or the fact that you only get new units with these.
Unfortunately there are many examples that this will become even bigger issue than it is right now. Just look at new Forza, Gran Turismo, Dead Space 3 etc.
And the saddest thing is that we got no one but ourselves to blame. |
I don't think squad wipe is as punishing as it was back in vCoH. It's very easy to comeback in this game and while you loose some veterancy you can rebuild your squad with easy.
The only two units that are capable of squad wipes on regular basis are ISU-152 and Brumbar. Single shoot from these units usually means that all members are dead or there is lone survivor. I also disagree with the statement that Brumbar is useless, but that's different topic.
Other then that is pure rng and to be honest I kind of like this as it gives me this "war" feeling. It's brutal and it's never fair.
It would be false to say that only Soviets are able to perform OSWP. German mortar, rifle nade, bundle nades, artillery, call ins - all this can result in potential squad death. Sector artillery and light artillery barrage can even wipe out whole armies and quite often you're doomed even if you retreat.
As someone above said I think this is more of a perception thing than anything else. |
The Tiger definitely needs a buff for cost. I would recommend a range buff.
No, it doesn't. It's fine as it is right now. |
Zis gets 2 shooted by a Tiger. Because of its HP pool even multiple ZiSs are no threat to it. I would ignore T-34/76 as they do nothing and I will go for ZiS with Tiger and supporting infantry. Without a ram there is nothing you can do to stop me. |
ZiS do little to nothing against Tigers and Panthers. You have to rely on Rams. It takes like 20 seconds to finish off successfully rammed Panther with T-34/76.
One of the recent games I drew a Tiger straight into 3 ZiS and they didn't even take 25% of its HP. ZiS fails to penetrate Tigers rear armour for like 50% of shoots(!)
It's not about cost. As a Soviet you have absolutely NOTHING to deal with Tigers and Panthers when you go T3 only and don't have any call in tanks. Nothing. |
There is a slight problem you guys seem to forget about. T-34/76 got very low chances to penetrate anything bigger than a PanzerIV.
When you're trying to fight Panthers or Tigers with it, usually half of your shoots bounce off. 8 second of stun is not long enough to punish off a overextended Panther tank.
There is a small chance of reworking a Ram mechanics as a re work to Soviet T3 would be required as well. |
A user of shock troops who waits to get suppressed before throwing a smoke grenade can probably be beat by using grens alone. A player who knows how to use shocks, will smoke before getting suppressed and run into your face full bore.
I'll repeat. I use this tactic myself and it works every time.
I keep my MG42 as a second line unit. I don't spearhead with it. |
