They got a buff recently with the sweeper. IMO if durability is the issue give them the same Dmg resistance as grens when T4 is built. Or some sort of straight problem -> solution path 90% of the last two pages is achpawel arguing tirelessly and tediously for a 10% discount on pioneer squads. In: COH2 Balance

(but would make more sense, currently CE and pios be like 'alright, we killed a bunch of enemies, now we know how to repair faster') I'm skeptical that this exploit would ever be a good use of time and units.
