That makes me want to stop playing, that's just so sad. However, we only did that to counter the double ISUs you guys fielded =P Thats something we get forced into a lot of matches. =/ And thats why I agree with the OP, but: I personally dont feel that the Elefant is that much of a problem. I havent seen a lot of Elefants fielded before this patch (BUT I havent really focused on 2v2s before this patch either...) and barely fielded them myself. If the ISU situation gets fixed I think we will also see less Elefants on the field. If the Elefants continue to dominate team matches then they should be changed as well. But maybe Relic is currently waiting for The Western Front armies, to see how the meta will change with the new factions... :/ In: COH2 Gameplay

Relic have not announced when it will be released, but we are just speculating as D-Day would make sense to tie in with the Western Front. Hm I think thats rather unlikely, since its too early. Amazon.com has the 25. and Amazon Germany the 27. as a release date. Im not saying that amazon knows it all, but those dates are more realistic in my opinion. Relic wants to invite people to the alpha in waves and the alpha isnt even released yet. And gathering information and implementing the necessary changes until an alpha becomes a full game will probably take longer than ~3 weeks In: Lobby

Where is your arty to dispose of ZiSes and infantry? Where is your reckon plane to know how you can approach it? Where is your flank? Yes youre right. Of course im not talking about head-on charges, but well executed flanks. Then again: You can bet support will be there (IF your enemy doesent loose all his support units because of an arty barrage, but then the game is essentially over anyway) and your flanking tanks wont die to the ISU but to the support then...which is why you need to bring your own support, which will die to ISU, which is the problem were talking about here In: COH2 Balance

No and I never implied that I'd do that. But support weapons and infantry have to be part of your force if you want to take out an ISU152 because you can bet that the enemy player will support his ISU with infantry and support weapons. What is your suggestion? Bumrushing the ISU, ZIS guns and Conscripts (and maybe T34s or Shermans, especially if youre playing a team game) with tanks? You will waste a lot of fuel that way. This is not really about theorycraftig...I mean I also destroyed ISU152s with 2 PZIVs before. However, if youre actually facing an opponent who knows what he's doing you cant pull that off In: COH2 Balance

Lol Elefant is effective at long range against: -Armor -Vehicles ISU152 is effective at long range against: -Armor -Vehicles -Support Weapons -Infantry -Planes (as a small bonus) -> All unit types in this game Basic idea behind destroying an elefant: Take out its support, then flank it with armor. Basic idea behind destroying an ISU152: Have an Elefant. (Taking out enemy support without being able to use support weapons yourself is barely an option in a close match) ISU will see some kind of nerf in an upcoming patch im sure, the question only is when this patch will arrive.
