Hey,
since there are some people who know their CoH2 stats in this forum I wanted to ask two questions:
What bonus do the new osttruppen commander trenches provide?
and
What about the +15% accuracy change to the artillery officer in the last patch? Does it only affect the AoE ability he has? And what were the previous bonuses it provided instead? |
What i really like about the doctrine is the new changes to the Artillery Officer. This guy gives a passive aura of +15% accuracy to all infantry around him
Are you completely sure about that? I thought they only changed his ability to the +15% accuracy, and not add a passive aura.
Can anybody confirm this? |
+1
nah rather +100 |
Happens to me occasionally as well. Ive got an ATI Card btw.
It simply randomly sets everything to minimum settings, a great thing if you start an automatch just to see that your game looks like sh%t now
But then again the game wont stop to tell me that I set my graphical settings way too high, which isnt true.
All drivers updated of course |
Completely agree with the OP |
More winter maps with less frequent (but longer lasting?) blizzards. If that is even possible. Otherwise I'd suggest to focus more on one of the various aspects of coldtech.
What I mean is that deep snow, ice and blizzards are all great individually but if you add all of them on one map it (imo) becomes frustrating.
Deep snow? Cool! Makes ma think about how to move my infantry on the map.
Ice? Cool! Makes me think about how to move my vehicles across the map.
Blizzard? Cool! Time periods with reduced sight, freezing troops -> different gameplay.
Alltogether? Ah damn way too many restrictions. Move my tanks? Nah, crossing that river is too risky with my reduced sight because of the blizzard. I also cant move my infantry through that deep snow because they will freeze to death. I will just build HMGs, at guns and long range weapons and play a huge stalemate match.
I think that especially blizzards combined with deep snow on important locations slows down the game too much.
Thats just my opinion of course but Ive got the feeling that 1 (2 if its blizzard + ice, or deep snow + ice) coldtech feature for the majority of winter maps while having a few "winter hell maps" with all three combined would make a great map list. |
lol maybe that's why some people prefer vCOH graphics.
To be honest that would explain a lot
The game looks incredibly better now. Who knows how many people are playing without the wonderful effects^^
Its actually easier to tell where the shots are coming from as well now^^ |
You were right: It was all about turning off post-processing...isnt that supposed to increase visual quality or something?^^ Why should Relic add an option to make the game uglier?
Thank you very much, basically a new game for me right now. |
Thanks for the reply, I will try that but wouldnt that reduce the image quality even more? |
Hey,
I already asked this in the "official" CoH forums, but these seem to be completely dead at the moment...and well I think CoH2.org is at least just as official if not even more ^^
I think that Im having a problem concerning CoH2s effects:
I was watching a CoH2 cast today, something I rarely do, and noticed that the graphics looked extremely different. Fire and smoke everywhere, even coming out of buildings something that is simply missing when I am playing the game.
My graphics are set to maximum in the games options, so I was thinking:
Are there things (maybe Dx10/Dx11?) that you cannot adjust in the game's options but which somehow are set automatically by the game?
(f so (which would be stupid anyway) how do I change them?
I guess all options are saved in the "configuration_system.lua" file in the "My Documents" folder (correct me if im wrong) and I could edit them there, but I have no clue what and how to edit.
So could somebody who has the game at maximum settings (and who thinks his game looks perfectly fine^^) post the content of his configuration_system.lua here? Or of course someone who knows how it works explain which values I can fill in, or of course tell me that Im wrong and that I have to do something entirely different^^
Edit: My computer is more than capable of running the game, so hardware is not the issue here. The game runs extremely smooth, but at the same time CoH2 always tells me "Your graphic settings are way too high bla bla...", because the "Recognize Hardware specs" mechanic is apparently broken, maybe that has something to do with it?
