I had a conscript squad with that many kills once. It was when I picked up an LMG34.

Thread: Game Bug Splat Becoming More Frequent?20 Aug 2014, 13:40 PM
@Cynthia_RE Happened a few times to our team lately as well, coincidentally just after our enemy lost some big stuff or so and was about to lose anyway. One guy of the enemy team drops and sync error appears. In: Lobby |
Thread: Foucs on the details, Relic, Plz20 Aug 2014, 09:12 AM
People will have impression that Relic is just care-less company which ignore these small bugs and details. Would they be terribly wrong? Hell, I know it is nearly impossible to make everything work perfect in a rather complex game like this. Starcraft 2 doesn't suffer so much from such issues, but that is because Blizzard sets other priorities and in return also use more simple game mechanics. So in a way this is a design choice. On the other hand you see a lot of evidence for sloppy and chaotic work from Relic. For example when they accidentally mix parts of old game versions with new patches, or when they manipulate parts of game files in patches that don't even get used in the game because their files are so chaotic and don't even know themselves which ones are used and which are not (happened in DoW2 a few times). That doesn't appear very professional, and I think it shows in the game. That bug that you mention of Machine guns turning the wrong way around hasn't always been there, it just at some patch version randomly appeared. And guess what, the same happened in DoW2 as well, it worked all the time fine and then suddenly the exact same bug appeared here as well. Coincidence? Or we have the really annoying autocover system here in CoH2 which removes control from the player and causes really annoying unit behaviour like units automatically running into the fire of a molotov to get to the cover even though you just removed the squad from there, or squads already in cover running out of it to run to another cover which puts you at a disadvantage. That system existed also in DoW2, and players hated it and Relic eventually removed it from Multiplayer. Now we have a new game and apparently the developer team members don't talk to each other about such things, because we have the same annoying system back here causing the same issues again. I could mention even more things, but you get the idea, so enough of that. Regarding "esports", no one is expecting this game to become big in esports anyway, it is just not designed for this, RNG alone would be already too big of a factor and the community is too small. Doesn't mean people cannot still have fun with tournaments and despite all the flaws of the game I don't see much issue in this. I doubt that the ESL partnership will attract tons of people to watch who are not already interested in CoH2 anyway, it is just a nice thing for the community that is already active in this. edit: Ah yeah, didn't even mention performance / optimization issues as mentioned in posts above. Thread: Rifleman is not op vs okw?18 Aug 2014, 21:20 PM
Kübelwagen is actually quite good. Volksgrenadiers stand no chance in equal numbers and Sturmpionier are only good for the early game and only if you can draw fire to something else, suppress (Kübelwagen) or come from around corners etc. The Kübelwagen just has to last until you can get some other stuff out to handle the Riflemen. Thread: How long we have to face ISU witch one shoot everyhting?17 Aug 2014, 09:49 AM
It will surely get nerfed eventually again. There were several changes to ISU to prevent oneshotting squads, but they for some reason with this unit are incredibly careful (not so with other units) so their mini-changes didn't do much and the ISU keeps oneshotting stuff. Since the problem hasn't been solved, we can expect more of those changes until it is done. With Relic's current speed that might take a while though. Meanwhile where the ISU kills squads with pinpoint precision from 70 range, the Brummbär struggles with even hitting one man from a six man squad from 40 range as I have seen on Hans stream lately again ![]() In: COH2 Balance |

Of course, more stuff is always good and I like fighting against big things even if I don't play Americans. Relic just has to balance them properly. In: Lobby |
Thread: Flak emplacement15 Aug 2014, 22:16 PM
Gokkel, this is sure, 1 sniper shot was ? I noticed need 2 shoots vs 100% healthy emplacement. I was pretty sure that the second guy from an emplacement just ran away after the other guy got shot by a sniper, similar to support weapons, but if you say this is not the case I cannot guarantee anymore for it. Thread: Faction Imbalance15 Aug 2014, 22:10 PM
Ok Putin. In fact there is only 50% of both sides played overall, since mirrors are not allowed in this game. Players wo are already in a game don't appear in the matchmaking queue. Since there are more Axis players than Allied players, Axis players have to wait until they find a game while Allied players get nearly immediately a game because there are already Axis players in the queue. Those Allied players disappear then from the queue quickly, so that explains why there appear to be nearly only Axis players. In reality though the disparity is probably a lot smaller than you can actually see from the machmaking numbers shown. It is impossible to know from the numbers shown in matchmaking how many more players actually try to play Axis rather than Allies, we only know it is more players for Axis most of the time. Thread: ESL + Observer mode confirmed15 Aug 2014, 21:40 PM
I'm kinda green and haven't used an observer mode in any game. Can anyone clarify how observer rights are handled? I conceive that an observer would join the lobby or be invited by one player. Do they then see without fog of war or do the other team have to give permission to see this? This would seem to be a good way of handling things but probably wrong. Would be also a problem in tournaments, people can watch / listen to the stream of streamer coverage to see what their opponent is up to during a game, such problems already existed in DoW2. You can get around it by putting a delay into the stream though, casters just have to put it in. In: Lobby |

It also gets decrewed by a single sniper shot as I have seen on StephenJF's stream. And it has same issue with hitting the ground as the Flak Halftrack. In: COH2 Balance |
