You must be the first and only person I have ever come across to say that blobbing grenadiers is an effective tactic vs the USF? I mean wow. Double bars will out DPS grens at any distance not to mention the fact they fire on the move. I also have no idea what your talking about with the 5 man squad formation. I think we must be playing a different game as a unit with smoke, AT nade, customizable weapon, and easy vet combined with the majors fall back is ridiculously good vs fucking Grens. The issue of USF indirect fire is indeed a problem and not one the OP even addressed. The pak howie is near useless and the mortar halftrak hardly justifies it's cost. However I usually deal with paks the same way I deal with anything as the USF: just smoke and mow it down with your insanely awesome infantry. The Ostheer faction naturally suffers from late game AI unless your already facing tigers in which case the game is likely already over. But yes the 57mm is terrible and needs a look along with some serious buffs to the pack howie. I agree with cruzz. Lmg gren scale so much better with access to faust , nade and lmg 's with no extra fuel cost apart from normal teching cost. Plus lmg gren are cheaper than a double bar rifleman, 240 mp, 60mun. Vs 280, 120mun plus the mp and fuel cost to upgrade to get bars and nades. Personaly I think ost butt fuck USF IN every way and lmg gren are SO MUCH BETTER! As for indirect fire, USF non doctranal indirect fire is shit compaired to Ost rapid fire mortars and OKW's ISG. All cheap and so much more effective, it is pritty much an outrage how good they are for the price and time they are available( and yes YOU ALL KNOW ITS TRUE!) I find 57mm AT gun not that bad. But would be good if the AP rounds were better, even if they cost more. Just feel like it would make the AT gun scale better in the late game when heaveys come out. In: COH2 Balance

Personal I think its bullshit that axis can make hgms straight off the bat so there has to be reasonable counter. Thread: Why Ostheer is in a bad spot3 Aug 2014, 09:35 AM from all the games i played USF against OSF, OST are super strong. 1: LMG Grens wipe the Floor 2: Ost Mortar Is a Machine Gun Mortar with pin Point accuracy 3: Mg42 can denies large areas and is easily assessable be in T1 4: i admit that Ost T3 doesn't do as well against USF due to the M36 TD 5: the pak is awesome with its long range and fast fire rate 6: the tiger is awesome against Usf, as usf armour are mad of cardboard lol In: COH2 Balance
Thread: dealing with the King Tiger in 1v13 Aug 2014, 09:16 AM i been having troubles deal with the KT in 1v1 games playing as USF.i seem to do well in early and mid game keep good map control but it seems that the OKW strat is to just lock down fuel and important strat point, while not bleeding too much MP and build up a massive army of schrecked up volks, sturmpio's and uber's or falls. then they get a KT and just Kill Everything. USF Armour just doesn't stand a chance against a KT supported with a mass BLOB of doom. mines seem to be the way to go to stop the KT so you can have get chance to kill but with m20 being the only unit that can lay AT Mines i find hard to back tech to T2 to get it as i rarely tech to t2 as lack At against a fast Flak HT or Puma. It's a chicken and the egg problem, see? same reason why everyone uses call in armour when playing as soviets lol, because Soviet normal tech Armour licks the bag. Why whould you use all that fuel and manpower on teching to getting a shite tank when you can get a better wellrounded tank for a similar price lol ;-) In: COH2 Balance

Thread: M3 Halftack - USF29 Jul 2014, 04:46 AM relic should change it to a m5 with a 50. Cal on top. At the moment the m3 is a waist of fuel and mp and come out way to late to make any real impact. M5 would be more appropriate for the cost and timing. What does the soviet m5 cost? In: COH2 Balance
