Thread: Armored Reserve Doctrine (DLC commander idea)22 Dec 2013, 13:43 PM It's a nice looking doctrine, however I won't be buying it or any other for that matter. To bring such an iconic unit into the game (King Tiger) and expect me to pay for it is out of the question. But Relic will do it no doubt because the business model works, oh well. In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: G-43 vs SVT-4020 Dec 2013, 12:11 PM There are too many variables involved to be able to say whether or not Penals as a whole were worthless. The experience of the soldiers within a Penal company or battalion of course would vary a great deal. Soldiers who committed crimes or acts of cowardness were sent to these units, that doesn't mean they weren't good soldiers before they committed these acts. On the one hand you may have a Penal company who are extremely experienced, maybe even veterans. On the other hand you may have a completely fresh Penal company made up of those who were conscripted and didn't have the will to fight. So to generalise and say that Penals were "worthless" is quite subjective. In: COH2 Balance

Thread: Patch Notes Discussion (Dec. 10th)16 Dec 2013, 11:59 AM I would like the option to see how many threads about balance have been derailed and have turned into small personal arguments between players. Anyway back on topic, I really like the feel of the new patch. Granted the Tiger Ace is still in the game and that detracts a huge amount of fun from the game but the recent changes are a step forward at least. And it's not like Relic are going to remove the unit and give everyone refunds, so I guess we have to deal with it. The decision to release no new commanders with this patch was a very good idea as well. Let's hope they keep this mindset up. In: COH2 Balance
