Thread: [OKW] Do they fixed medic buff?26 Oct 2016, 16:12 PM
Don't know if it is placebo or not but OKW medics still heal crazy slow. At least it feels that way. Not sure why they don't just make every medic unit heal at the same rate... asymmetrical balance I guess... In: COH2 Balance |
Thread: Instant defeat in multiplayer25 Oct 2016, 22:52 PM
Not sure how a win-hack prior to game connecting/loading would work. Heck, I'm not sure a win-hack even after the game starting would be feasible to accomplish on a regular basis. The logic just doesn't follow based on my understanding of how the battle servers work. |

Both IP addresses are from New York, unless paula found another butt buddy, da other guy is pretty much G.dot. Do you have proof of this Mr. Gaddafi? In: Replays |
Thread: Skill > Cheese18 Oct 2016, 23:27 PM
Hello, I have no real evidence that it is Gdot, just a bunch of circumstantial stuff including: *He always uses 4v4 style builds (MG spam into schreck blobs into Werfer spam for example) - Gdot's primary game mode is 4v4. (He has been rank 1 4v4 many times) *Him and Paula are good friends and have played together in the past. (Gdot is actually the only player Paula has an active 2v2 AT rank with). *Him and Paula both hate me and Momo, so they have motive to snipe us. *His in-game banter/the way he speaks. Again, totally circumstantial but that is my best guess. Could be anyone though. Sorry to Gdot if it is in fact not him. They are welcome to post the other game with us, they beat us as Axis on Ettlebruck (Allies are 2-0 in recent games between us, go figure.) The game on Ettlebruck was more of a stomp in their favor to be honest, we didn't keep it close. This game was closer than it looked in my opinion. Had we not caught the Elefant in the Artillery Cover that I aimed at the Panther Command Tank, it could have given us a lot of trouble. The timing on my second Comet to come and clean up the Elefant was another lucky break as well as managing to barely trade my AEC and initial Cromwell for a Werfer + Stuka. I wasn't positive we were going to win until the Elefant went down, it was a close game that I thought is worth a watch. Both sides doing their best to adapt to the map/current situation. [Although the Elefant was a little questionable against Comets + Priests + ~4 AT guns when the tech for Panthers was already achieved]. Overall, I thought this game was a good demonstration of the USF + UKF play that Momo and I pioneered and wrote a guide about many patches ago, nice to know that it still works as intended - it wasn't meant to be a pride post. We've beaten them before, they've beaten us before. There's no pride posting from either team because we're probably pretty even in win/loss over plenty of games. But at the end of the day people are going to assume that any replay is a pride post I guess. What can ya do. https://www.coh2.org/guides/43650/rtn-allied-2v2-guide ^The guide we wrote. In: Replays |

Classic, solid USF UKF play comes up against Paula's attempted Axis cheese including: MG spam ISG spam Rocket Artillery spam Schreck spam (probably forgot some stuff) All topped off by call-in tanks and map hacking 222. GG WP P.S. - Relic, please nerf allies already... In: Replays |
Thread: Remove yellow cover bonuses from MOVING infantry17 Sep 2016, 03:03 AM
You're exaggerating quite a bit, it is rarely feasible (let alone advisable) to charge through yellow cover at an HMG... you'll still get suppressed despite the player-made (or any) yellow cover. Not to mention that generally late game, buildings and environmental green cover has been destroyed. If you took away the advantage of crater/player created cover late game infantry would bleed even more heavily than they do now. Short range troops already suffer late game because they're always forced to close in to do any damage. On one or two maps this is fine, but on most it becomes increasingly difficult with the late game power of LMGs, tanks and in general large armies running around. It also doesn't make sense within the context of the game. My squad is inside a crater, which the game displays as yellow cover but I don't get the bonuses if I'm moving? It's awkward and counter intuitive. A change like this would be an indirect buff to LMGs, which are already disgusting in many late game situations while directly nerfing a handful of units that aren't at all problematic. Thread: Remove yellow cover bonuses from MOVING infantry16 Sep 2016, 20:05 PM
This would ruin close range infantry in 1v1. Please no. Clever/good use of cover is the sign of a good player and close quarters infantry are already at a major disadvantage, most especially in the late game. In: COH2 Gameplay |
Thread: RELIC'S WPC Change of plan 15 Sep 2016, 00:55 AM
The email sent to players said what would happen if they were unable to attend in Vancouver. RedWings or Von posted it earlier in the thread. Kyle's wording was quite clear. In: Events Central |
Thread: RELIC'S WPC Change of plan 12 Sep 2016, 22:20 PM
Noggano said he tried to communicate w/ Kyle via Steam chat before the Semis but got no response. I don't think anybody realized that he would be completely disqualified if he couldn't make the trip to Vancouver. Generally when you no-show for a round, you lose that round. IMO he should get the 2nd place prize money. Had he known he would be outright disqualified from the entire event, he would have intentionally lost the Semis so that he could play in the 3rd-place game for $750. This would have also been totally lame, ofc, but at least he could have won a prize. I don't want to blindly defend Relic because I wish there was a better solution - and I would have loved to watch Noggano go up against DevM live... But Kyle's email stated the rules quite clearly on what happens if a player cannot attend the finals in Vancouver. I still would have preferred to allow Noggano to play online for 3rd somehow and send some one in his place, rather than outright disqualifying him... But the rules were there and they were clear. Whether or not they could have been better though... Certainly a topic for discussion in the case of future similar events hosted by Relic. In: Events Central |
Thread: RELIC'S WPC Change of plan 12 Sep 2016, 18:38 PM
Sucks for everyone to be in this situation. I feel for Noggano, and he's one of my favorite players, but the official rules per Kyle's email say that a failure to be able to make the trip to Vancouver result in a DQ and the next player being moved up. Wish they were written as more of a spot swap (Jesulin plays Von for the chance to go then the loser plays Noggano for 3rd) but it is what it is. At least we still get live finals, which is pretty cool. In: Events Central |
