4-6 CPs would be ridiculous timing for a mortar. |
Irregulars, partisans, T34(not ram), penals, PTRS, vehicle detection, Brummbar, KV-1, SU-76, M-42 AT gun, ML-20, AT gun camo, pretty much 50% of what soviets can do.
Every single ost unit except Brummbar was OP at one time for comparison, osttruppen included.
When it comes to OKW, only sturmtiger and IR HT.
USF pretty much like soviets, stuart, RETs, fighting positions, sherman, wolverine, PACK howi, HMG, M-20, both pathfinders, so again about 50% of what they can do.
Well it's not like artillery officer was ever OP, so Brummbar isn't the only unit Also, RET was kinda OP when volley fire was so strong. |
I've played a couple of Mech Assault games recently but I actually always go for T2. I really like having paks, and I'll just get my PGrens from T2 rather than with the halftrack. There's no reason to save more fuel anyway, because you'll have plenty for at least a Stug E and a Tiger when you're not teching to T3. |
@Cobra: First of all my apologies for my behavior towards you, that was very immature of me. I wish I could keep my head cooler sometimes.
I understand how annoying buildings are to OKW, but I don't see how that justifies a free blockade that can't be quickly destroyed until tanks come out. If buildings were that much of a problem, you could have just destroyed them with your truck.
It's not like you just blocked access to buildings with it, you kinda blocked the entire mid for me, and there's simply no counter at all in the early game for me. A bit later in the game you nearly blocked the entire right side as well. I honestly think that's broken. But much more importantly, it's very, very lame meta that's super boring to play against. It's about as fun as facing British Sim Cities and/or blobs back in the day.
So yes, I agree OKW needs help against buildings, but I don't see reinforced wire as a solution to that. |
I usually get quite a lot of kills with the unit, but somehow when I face the unit I don't have that much trouble killing it. I can only talk from a Soviet perspective, since I don't enjoy playing USF, but I find it pretty easy to kill with guards + AT nade, or just a T34. |
Stop getting angry at the game. There are plenty of things I could improve on, but once I get angry at the game I play like a moron (and act like one as well occasionally), and I'll lose 90% of the time.
Some weeks I won't get angry at all, some weeks I get pissed about nothing. I find that during the former weeks my rank is much higher (actually got to rank 22 in Sov 1v1 and top 50 with every other faction) than during the latter. |
I pretty much always get them tbh, I don't see why people think they're worthless. I guess they're still stuck in the past and think they're charging units. They're not. They don't even have to charge, because they don't need to be at close range. They excel at medium range, and will shred any squad that tries to charge them out of cover (even shocks if you're positioned well, but that's a tricky one).
So yes, they're absolutely worth it imo, if you use them well. Either use them to defend your flanks, or to flank an opponent. Don't charge enemy units head on however, and in most cases: don't go for close range, go for medium range encounters. |
My specs:
i5 2500k, Geforce 970 and 8 gigs of RAM.
Resolution at 1080p, AA on low, rest on highest possible. Usually the game runs at 60FPS, although when I move the camera fast, or when there's a lot happening on the screen I do get frame drops. Nothing that makes it unplayable though.
Before I got this GPU I used to be running CoH2 at 60FPS ALWAYS (as in never any frames dropped), but I ran the game at low-medium settings I believe.
Edit: Ofcourse, VSync is turned off. Always turn VSync off, unless you're noticing major screen tearing. |
I used the SittingDuck nickname back when I played a lot of CoD4. Of course, SittingDuck wasn't very original, but CoD4 didn't care about duplicate names, so I could take it anyway. When I later wanted to use the name for other accounts I couldn't use it however, cause it was pretty much always already taken. So I ended up trying several things with Duck in them (such as RubberDuckyNL in XboX Live), including the Dutch translation Eend. For CoH I just prefixed Cpt with Eend, just because I get to command stuff in CoH, and as such I deserve a military title Kappa |
I'm fed up with this. |
