It's no shame, but you can't seriously take part in balance discussions if you've only played one faction. |
In The End everything you try to do against OKW as USF will leave you feeling Numb and Faint. i think i've found Somewhere I Belong by simply playing with SOV.
i am With You on this one Katitof. Nobody's Listening at Relic and i have Given Up trying to Break The Habit of beating OKW lategame with USF. it is simply Easier to Run and find a Place For My Head.
That was brilliant |
Cruzz, you're a fucking hero. PLEASE RELIC, HIRE THIS MAN. IT'S NOT IMPORTANT IF CRUZZ WANTS TO DO IT. HE HAS TO DO IT. KIDNAP HIM IF YOU MUST. |
shouldn't APCR be like - increased penetration in overall, no penalty for range (pen same at all ranges), same reload and lower damage?
APCR rounds have higher velocity and thus higher penetration but actually a heavier penalty for range than regular rounds. HEAT rounds have no penalty for range, because those rounds rely on explosives for penetration rather than velocity. |
@GuyFromTheSky
If you consider that rude, then I suggest visiting a therapist or psychologist as you clearly have sensitivity issues.
I didn't consider your first post in this thread to be that rude, although it was far from constructive, but this is rude. |
^That. People really need to learn to play with PGrens. Besides, they're a lot cheaper than Shocks (both initial unit cost as reinforcing cost, cause a Shock squad has more models), so don't expect them to perform the same. |
Time scrolling/rewind would actually be far harder to implement than tracking a player's camera or mouse movements. |
There's an idle unit indicator? |
I don't agree with your recommendation of 12GB to play the game at higher settings. I play at max, with 8GB of RAM, and have never ran into any problems. |
Your problem were not the snipers, they were just the nail in the coffin. The main problem I can see in this replay is that you were not aggressive enough, and didn't capitalize on your victories. For instance, at a certain point in the game you made all of his units retreat, and you decrewed both his AT guns. You didn't capture/destroy those AT guns however, allowing your opponent to get back in the game again. A couple of times you got an IS-2 to 10% health, but you never chased them with your PIV when there was actually nothing to stop you from killing it. And then there was this moment in the game where you attacked with a PIV, and retreated back to your base as soon as you saw an enemy AT gun. Instead, you could have just flanked the AT gun, kill that single conscript squad, and completely push him off the map. As far as I can see you're just relying too much on the big pak, but that kind of defensive play allowed your opponent to recover each time you nearly killed him.
Also some general micro tips: try to blob a little less, certainly when there's maxims around. Don't retreat an entire blob just because one gren is wounded. Use cover more frequently, and stay at range with grens. There was this early game encounter where you parked your grens out of cover next to an occupied building, which forced your gren to retreat.
Oh and one more thing. In the end game you were floating something like 700 fuel. You should have teched to panthers to finish the IS2s off, rather than getting an ostwind (you didn't even have that much trouble with infantry, it was just the IS2 that kept you from rampaging his infantry). |
