I wouldn't mind seeing the SU85 go up to 130 fuel but in turn so should the PIV. Add to this the T70 should go up 15 fuel too as the PIV at this new cost would put it out as counter to it. If those 3 changes were made I feel it would lead to those units being a tad more balanced towards each other and even give the Germans a bit more time to get a Schrek ready for the T70. It may also give people a choice in going for an alternative cheaper tank (Stug) or even an alternate tier (T34, with a penetration buff too I might add) for Soviets. |

As Quinn noted in his interview, we are also looking to get a public test server up very soon which should provide everything you are asking for. It will give you explicit details on what changes are coming up and provide some community members the opportunity to get involved in the games future development.
Rest assured, we are reading the forums and taking all the feedback we get into consideration. We do our best to go through all the forums, collect feedback, and present it at our morning design meetings.
If you read Quinn's interview, you'll note that we do plan to put much more effort into COH2. Its not something we're just dropping. Personally, knowing what I know, I think we have a very strong future ahead of us and I think those who visited the studio a few weeks ago will agree.

Its not the negative feed back, yes there is heaps of that but what we want is an 'OFFICIAL' sticky post, regularly updated with what the dev's are looking at changing/adding/fixing in the game ATM. We would like this and other possible features they are looking at and MOST of all a time frame of when we should expect this. Look at the Metacritic scores ATM, 5.9 user review, a lot of people dont care about these but A lot of people do and it is hurting the possible longevity of the game. Look at the Steam forums, every post a negative response. Just put some 'OFFICIAL' posts in place and it will STOP heaps of the negativity.
And as for constructive posts form the Dev's ATM there are actually 2 on the first 2 pages in these forums;
'We are looking into this. The larger, somewhat hidden, issue is that HTD modifiers stack with cover modifiers. So if I HTD near green cover im nearly invincible. There are a few other issues but this seems to be the major one. We are working to resolve it though.' -Pqumsieh, with regards to HTD and

That is hardly 'all over the forums' but it is these types of posts (regarding actual gameplay) and more that we are looking for in an 'OFFICIAL' sense. Plus a little more indication of what the dev's themselves are looking to change and not just adhoc statements within other posts. |

In regards on plans for the near future . EG balance change's , Map design contest or even replying to all these negative post i see going around .

I agree, it would be nice to be informed about what changes Relic are looking to make and how they will be implemented. The post about the Maps and having a contest is also an excellent idea and a map editor is needed ASAP to get some smaller 1v1 maps in particular. having maps with proper cutoff points is essential to COH gameplay.
The problem with using maps twice and changing the season is the strat/muni/fuel points become broken. E.G Moscow Outskirts Winter is OK because there is a cut of to the side fuels from a strat point in the center but on the Summer version there is basically no way to cut the Fuel or the Ammo as it is right next to the base. I would actually like it to be possible in an editor to add strat points that give no resources but have high fuel and ammo points again and make it so they can be cutoff to have a more cat and mouse style of play.
Overall though a bit more feedback from the dev's as to what changes they are looking at making and possible time frames is all myself and a lot of others are wanting. |
partly due to the lackluster release. Game lacks polish. So many features missing. While I enjoy the game it is definitely not the awesome RTS I was hoping for. I just can't see Relic improving the game before the MP scene dies out.
I am really hopeful that it does last but given the numbers on Steam and the activity of their forums with so many topics about compstomps and lobbies etc, this crowd will not last. A major change needs to happen extremely quickly or I think the player base will dwindle to less than COH had at the end by the time the first month is done. |
Yeah I win a German occasionally too but it take 40-50 minutes, I win as Soviet at least 90% of the time in under 15 minutes, problems? me thinks so. |
I may be negative in my posts but I don't rage like this as it really does get you nowhere and just Irk's people. I absolutely agree though that the 1v1 balance (all things you mentioned are part of it) needs addressing ASAP. I was hopeful that a balance patch was coming today with the new commanders but to no avail. from memory doesn't it usually take about 2 weeks from when a developer wants to make a change, for valve/steam to ok it for download across all the different regions? If that is the case it could still be a week off at least, which is too long. The Steam forums are full of people raging over balance and the lack of lobbies etc. Please relic implement the balance and ladders/lobbies ASAP or there will be no one left when they do come out.
On a side note the forums here are not as busy as I maybe would have expected on the NEW release of the game. The same can be said for GR and the official forums. The only forums really bombarded with topics are the Steam ones, which can only be taken lightly because I must say MOST, but not all, of the people on the Steam forums have very little idea about anything to do with the basics of the game tbh. This makes me worry a bit too as there just doesn't seem to be the interest in the game I was hoping for from the community. The balance patch may make or break this game so maybe it is better they take a little more time, but not too long please. |
I know its not ALL about that 1 unit but it is just a little too convenient that even in the Quarter finals matches that I watched, (7 games) the 5 games the Russian won they built them the 2 games they lost they didn't build them. I will stop now as I feel I have made my point. I just hope it is changed along with a few other units and abilities too from both sides but that is for another discussion. I am sorry for being so negative, I love the game and I REALLY want it to succeed its just glaring things like this, especially at lower levels with newer players being thrashed doesn't really help to promote the game as a whole and attract new players or keep existing ones. Thanks for taking the time to take an interest in the post anyway I'll save myself for some different discussions later lol. |
I really dont have too many problems with HTD (not saying it doent need tweaking, it does) just stay at max range or leave em and cap elswhere. Yes, German is difficult ATM but its just about surviving until you can hit critical mass, not easy but hey thats the game ATM. |
