No, they don't. And it is very important to make that distinction. Censoring stuff for the "despiction of our culture" is something that is explicitely forbidden by law precisely because of their history. Suggesting that germany bans games or any other media for its depiction of german culture is treating on *very* rocky ground and unless you can back that up with peer-reviewed studies you are strongly advised and encouraged to stop posting.
i've learned a lot about the eastern front side of the war because of he inaccuracies in the campaign being exposed by knowledgeable people.
It is well known that random posters on the internet are knowledgeable people, exposing important cover-ups by vile gaming companies and not just retarded turboautists with too much time on their hands relentlessly grinding away on boring topics in 1001 posts nobody really cares about.
Guys, the discussion is not going in the right direction, I had to invisible some posts and some of you are going to get warned. Please keep this discussion civil. Thanks
We really don't need these kind of threads on this website, if you ask me. This thread is just one total trainwreck post after another.
I remember a time when ppl were really happy that we finally hit 10k users on COH1. This was during the old servers.
Even during time between the server change and COH2, just about almost no-one played Steam. It was buggy as hell and drophackers had it even better there for a time.
This is not so much doomsaying as in actual concern. And this time, the numbers back me up.
I have no trouble finding matches and that is as far as the numbers concern me vOv
I watched the video, and though I couldn't understand the Russian, I could see where the guy was coming from. I think it may just be a question of "too much." Too much focus on Russian on Russian violence and not enough focus on Russian acts of Heroism. The title is "Company of Heroes", after all.
The problem with that is that rarely a "company" made it through the war intact, if at all. Unlike how it is displayed in vCoH, those companies of heroes actually /die/ in CoH2. That's why the story is narrated by the officer and the officer alone. The common soldier's life was treated as an arbitrary and disposable thing, so that form of narrative makes a lot of sense.
Whatever metacritic says, the stats for the plays on Steam more or less tell us what multiplayer is like.
6,724 independent players as a peak on COH2 in the past 24 hrs.
This is no better than (if not worse than) the numbers of players in COH1 in January, and for a new game a month old with so much hype, this is bad news.
“We had intended to convey the reality of the battles to players so that they could feel what it was like to be there.”
Better not to make too realistic video games. As long as they're just Duty Calls level story telling it's ok, but oh boy if there is just a shred of truth in there I am gonna call the UN! I want my retarded shit served butterly soft in my games about explosions and awesome looking weapons.
