As a general comment, I really dislike when units can buy Vet or begin with it in the COH franchise. It goes against one of the core designs of the franchise.
As it stands, if you have the commander, it is a no brainer choice. Which I thought Relic was trying to get away from.
whermacht could buy vet from day 1. Its not the case for coh2 tho. It goes against the core design of coh2. personally I think a purchasable vet system that costs feul ofc will add much strategic depth into the game, similar to the upgrade system for rifles in the form is feul and munis based upgrades, which is awesome.
elite troops, i think is hated more because of the tiger ace and not the purchasable vet mechanic.

L2Flank dude. Let me tell you this as an Top 70 player
omg top 70, teach me master how to flank isu backed up by atguns |
+1 The Pak43 is an IMMOBILE Atgun and it costs upwards of 500 manpower and is doctrinal. It already has so many counters. 50kg bombs, inf rushes, priest and other offmaps and mortars and what not. The elefant nerf was well justified but pak43 range should remain 100. |
coh1 and coh2 are seperate games with seperate mechanics. Both are enjoyable in their seperate regimes. |
I hope the Kubel cannot handle guards, they're armed with AT rifles and are more expensive than it and are doctrinal...
no worries .. if guards can deal with a 222 AC.. im pretty sure they will handle a kubel. supression is thing to be looked out for |
Well if volks can beat neither cons nor rifles their reinforce better be 20 odd.
looking at the unit profile, i think they will do exceptionally well with vet and kubel i think will be awesome becoz it will be able to reverse and coh2 has a reverse button. How it will handle guards remains to be seen. |
I have CoH2 WFA pre ordered already so i'm hoping this expansion will rekindle my interest in the CoH franchise. I have more than 2000 hours of playtime in CoH1 and I was in the top 10 2v2 ranked leaderboard, yet I only have 30 ish hours on CoH2, so it says a lot about the game when a veteran like myself has more time invested into the first CoH than the second one.
I'm not really looking forward to the Americans but the new German faction looks fun. The only thing that would make CoH2 perfect is if they added the French and British Army, but they can do that later on down the road since they're going to be releasing this expansion in 20 days or so.
They have a 5 year plan. dont worry |
I am not completely sure. Ive had a conscript squad with 4 lmg's before, so im not 100% sure that a squad can max out on upgraded weapons. I think some squads can max out completely, but some have a limit depending on their current upgrade, but I might be wrong and there is only a squad member limit.
so you can have a maxed out (5-6) bar squad as a dedicated anti infantry unit? if so does it increase the chance of the squad dropping stuff? |
i saw transparency through trees... this is awesome, however i would like to know that is it possible to see the number of weapons equipped on a squad through the stat counter?
secondly how many weapon slots are available per squad? |
Smaug I know you too buddy, we played in VCoH. When you say "where is flanking" I just laugh because there is tons of flanking in CoH2, and even with smoke grenades it isn't that hard to just re-position your mg42, just like with dealing with regular mortars. Fact of the matter is this thread made me cringe, because I know you rarely play CoH2 and make ludicrous statements such as this. So please, if you like the old "flanking", stick with VCoH, it's your game.
fair enough.. i stop posting in these forums from now on.
"ludicrous statements". These were my observations, you didnt have to be that harsh. cheers |
