I play a lot of 2s on my stream with all factions and I am going to have a weekly event where this kind of replay can be sent in to be analysed and critiqued so stay tuned for that (just working out things like artwork). I don't have much time to answer in too much depth but here's a few routes you could take. I am assuming double Soviets here: Player 1: T1, Sniper, Cons, M3, Cons, Cons, AT nades with the M3 being garrisoned by a flame thrower engineer which allows you the mobility to chase down squads and have a good sense of mobility. The 3x Conscripts into AT nades provides a decent mid-game screen against 222 and the likes. Don't neglect mines. Add a second sniper as needed to allow you to compete with the German's superior infantry with support from Player 2 for your flanks. Player 2: T2, Maxim, Maxim, Cons, Cons or the reverse with Cons first. Add a mortar as desired, ZiS gun around the 7-8 minute mark is never a bad idea. You now have a choice, depending on doctrines and the map to commit to T3 (T-70 / T34) pressure by player 2 and T4 (Katyusha, primarily) to complement if you decide to tech. If you don't decide to tech, consider back teching to T2 for player 1 to allow both of you to field ZiS guns so you can stall but this will involve a lot of tight camping and flank prevention. General Tips
DoctrinesThese are potent in 2v2s (even if I think some are blatantly OP):

I hope this has helped a little with Soviet build orders. (Sorry I didn't have time to look at the replay so I didn't know what factions you were asking for help with). In: Strategy Desk |

My heart yearns and cries to hear this. I love you very much Sam, find and enjoy games with developers that aren't out to lie to your face and take you for granted. All the best Sam, I am sure I'll see you around sibHeart. In: COH2 Shoutcasts |

Joke response, joke patches, joke "commitment". Your Q&A sessions do nothing, have the standard of a common twitch streamer and provide literally 0 insight into any matter being discussed. It's more of a talk show where you get to hear yourself going around in a circle. Your communication as a studio has been non-existent, we're still waiting on ANY news or updates from any channels available. Your "5" patches may as well have been 0 because all they managed to do was throw the game into further disarray, introduce more bugs (which required hotfixes to fix bugs introduced by a previous hotfix, which in turn introduced another unforeseen bug). Balance is awful, illogical and performance of the game has been disgraceful since WFA launched. You have no dedicated team to working on multi player as you have expended all your available resources and priorities on working on the AA expansion pack, please don't try and damage control. If you DO have a team, I am quite frankly appalled by how hard it is to look at a few lines of code and actively fix bugs (I am not even talking about balancing anything here, fix the game breaking bugs which have only increased in numbers since the expansion pack). The multiplayer has been neglected and shat on because priorities, despite hyping ESL and the partnership with OBS mode (which we don't even know about due to the draconian NDA system), are clearly in the wrong places. Don't even get me started about the bitterness a lot of players have from the DCE fiasco and the old DLC systems. In: Lobby |

This could've been laid out and written in a much more informative and constructive manner but I think it's the fact that everyone is aware of all these things that you have mentioned. We're just going around in a circle and the best we can do is to keep giving feedback and wait for the fixes to arrive. In: Lobby |

Thread: A Quick Note For The COH2.org Community19 Sep 2014, 08:06 AM
These issues affect those who are deeply rooted the most and it is extremely unfair for people who have no idea what transpired to stir the situation and make it worse. Having said that, thank you for reaching out to us regarding these issues rather than being silent. I have a few things I'd like to comment on since I am usually somehow dragged into things sooner or later. Firstly, I'd like to discuss the behaviour of the community and the Relic employees as a whole. It's currently a vicious cycle with one side being frustrating because they're the ones that actually play the game on a daily basis and have to deal with (this is my view entirely) below satisfactory game quality. The community has a lot of backflash from ninja changes, broken implementions with no explanations (War Spoils, old DLC commanders) and the other, being disappointed in the behaviour. While it is often unwarranted, these are direct consequences of Relic's lack of transparency and communication in these issues. I can't speak on behalf of the community but I am under the impression the Relic-Community relationship is pretty bad right now. Some people are defending Relic, some are holding them accountable and others are taking the sidelines. The community is fragmented, the communication is lacking and the game is in a state that does not encourage a healthy relationship but actually the opposite. Secondly, I've encountered 44 "instances" of bugs since the last balance patch that was released (not the hot fixes) and I have to comment that it is rather disappointing to see that a hotfix, requires a hotfix to patch things, both of which have undocumented changes so I can understand why some people are up in arms about situations like this. Finally, I have to bring this to attention since I am involved alongside the individual in question (most likely). Being called a "dick" by a Relic employee was kind of the tipping point at which I actually stopped bothering to push for any sort of affiliation (although I expected it from the employee in question). I have taken a lot of flak for things that I have said and every time, I have tried to justify why I said all those things and to reiterate what my intentions are. I told this individual that I got more done in half an hour to an hour with Matt (Eagleheart) and my viewers giving me feedback to pass on with regards to things such as the maps than I would've done had I been in the alpha which prompted the response. Maybe it was the way I phrased it, maybe it was something else but as it currently stands, I see a lot of people idle and inactive so it's not exactly a wise idea to push people who have stuck around despite all the controversial decisions on Relic's behalf as well as the community's reactions. I hope you guys can work something out and things improve (they already have in some regards). Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and I expect nothing less than a civil discussion when things become too heated and conflicts of interest arise (such is the case here with regards to me and the said-individual). Without making this personal, the game and Relic are currently alienating and discouraging a lot of people from attempting to even bother to understand given the state of the game since the expansion launched. Personally, I am finding it extremely hard to sympathise and defend you guys right now. Ultimately, I am glad to see communication is slowly improving and I wish you the best of luck with resolving these matters. I hope a civil conclusion is reached and everyone moves forward in a positive manner. In: Lobby |
