Why would anyone get it at T3 timing? That's the point when it becomes completely irrelevant.

That's what I tried to tell the Heavy Sappers dude, but he's not talking about it being used for combat, or anything it would be used for in early game, instead of the AEC, but as a Light AA platform, because Centaur is pretty costly, if you also want to have a Cromwell on the field. Which I agree with.
But yeah, I personally think different, which is in the head, the main post of the Thread.

My point is offering an affordable AA platform, built in the rear line. As i go for AEC, my next vehicle at least have to be a cromwell, and my only AA source then is the centau, which cost event more. If enemy have alot of air strafe then the centau is needed, but if all they have is just some annoying recon planes then just the boffor is enough, and it can be deconstructed if wanted.
In that case, I think then the Bofors may have a cost decrease once the player gets to T3.
Something like 260MP 15 Fuel. But I feel like it must have other restrictions to it, if built after T3, which, I presume, is really hard to code or even impossible, since we have to keep the pre-T3 Bofors in mind.

Currently i see little reasons for AEC and boffor to lock out each other.
If someone go for AEC, i think allowing them to back tech for boffor after building company CP will be handy, offer an affordable AA/ cut off guard.

The thing is:
Bofors is an immobile emplacement that is taking up Pop cap and takes a fair amount of resources, while being an easy target for Anything bigger than an LV and Arty pieces. Especially considering Company CP (I guess you mean T3 here), when tanks begin rolling on the battlefield, that, again, can easily take it down. Even Stugs. And once the enemy knows where your Bofors is, he will target it. If not tanks, then Arty.
So it's bad. And thus it needs to be in Early game, thus instead of the AEC, because WITH the AEC it's too much of a fuel dump and will make T3 go further away, putting the entire tank game of Brits in danger. And AEC is for Aggressive play, while Bofors is for defensive. |

im 1v1 and 2v2 and mostly play as soviet i have never seen SU-76M in a match for a long time
didn't see anyone deploy it
so what a point of having SU-76M in this game
does this unit need to rework or something?
Only for nostalgia some may use it.
Su-76 was an OP light TD back in the day, with free Barrage, and it was spammed to death, everyone was using it non-stop and T4 wasn't even built.
Then it was nerfed.
Then no one began using it much. And because T-70 is simply glorious.
Su-76 is like you ATG, but on Tracks, and costs Fuel, so not everyone prefers it, especially considering you can get a T-70 AND an ATG at the same time and not care about anything really. (Well, ATG or Penals with PTRS) It just doesn't fit.
I suppose it's more of need for a nerf for T-70 rather than buffing or redesigning Su-76. |
Platoon CP can have AEC and valentine tech, which lock out each other and boffor is unlocked with one of those tech unlocked.
So, Stock, pretty much. One of Vipper's suggestions from before.

Can not cay much about emplacements since currently they are badly designed and require a redesign...

Well, I dunno who finds trouble with Falls, because I don't remember the last time I even saw them hit the field after their Faust was taken away, as well as, as I remember, some sort of a nerf.
Even when I do see them I don't see them as a threat. They die really fast, especially while not upgraded for their 2 more FG42s. I dunno, maybe I am not too good of a player myself to witness some good play with them, but that's my experience.
While for Paras-I haven't seen them in eternity.
