Easy to dodge yes, but they are denial tool, not actually something that should harm enemy, except if he stay there for some time. On the other hand incing grenades of volks are something between normal grenade and molotov, while costing doble the cost. You can spam mollotovs without putting dent in your munnition bank but you cannot spam them as OKW.

Also if enemy dodges molotov, you have won the fight because mg was packed/gren was moved from house/ sturmpio cannot close in and you outfight him because you have superior cover.


Molotov aren´t one hit wonder, they are supportive tool that helps conscripts to outfight other infantry at low cost like merge or ooraah

Who is rushing units towards conscripts in cover?

Also, focus firing a conscript squad can often result in no molotov thrown or a wiped squad with how obvious and long the animation is. It's very easy to kill the animating entity before the molotov is thrown.

Although I have to say the animation for molotovs on suppressed squads is a lot better though. Unfortunately the range changes to grenades have made that one not as common.

While this seems fun and all,won't it make so that people have to redownload the game with each update because of file integrity?

I've actually found this to be the case I think. I used to delete the videos outright and every time CoH2 patched it appeared to completely download the game and replace the installation. I haven't messed with any CoH2 setting for a while now and the last two patches, although very minor, haven't required clearing my SSD so CoH2 has the space to download.

Veto it if you don't like it, like I said, others enjoy it a ton and I'm not getting anything new out of it.

The map was designed to be "this side" and "that side", and when one is lost you move over and fight up a side together, it has a ying yang effect early on in the game and than splits down the map horizontally once each sides finds the rhythm. The long extended flanks with site blockers make for large decisive movements to get behind the enemy.

Also the VP tick is the same as 2-1 vps with 3 vps when you have both, the only reason it gets extended is when both sides hold one. And at one point or another somebody has to push, make a play. All ins.

If you don't like that play style slap a veto on it.

Of course? There's nothing to dispute there.

But I will say the VP tick is 2-0. It's only the same as 2-1 when one of the VPs is neutral. With 3 VPs the VP tick usually only freezes as a result of territory trading hands. With 2 VPs the default state is frozen and trading 2-0 control. It's definitely a different pacing: a drain rate of mainly two and some zero versus mainly one and some three.

The map entails a lategame. Plan accordingly.

Yeah 2 VPs generally breaks the balance of timing.

It's one of the reasons people dislike Langres in CoH2: it's really hard to get that 3rd VP, which makes matches drag. When there's not even a 3rd VP to contest the VP drain is always a pretty slow trickle.

I can say it's a map that is more tailored for a UKF and OKW matchup because both of those factions sorta steamroll into the lategame, which is usually guaranteed with such a slow or even static VP game.

So opponent dont use falme ht/222/luhs/aaht ?

Keep in mind have mainly played 2v2s recently and only one Soviet v OKW matchup I can think of.

Luchs didn't really push me around a whole lot. I lost engagements due to the luchs, but I was close enough to T4 at that point I didn't bother going for anything T3. I did utilize Guards though. However, I also placed mines early on. While my opponent saw, I think it still made him too paranoid to send his Luchs anywhere that offensively. They didn't use AAHT. Also I actually haven't seen AAHTs being used in 2v2s either.

The 222 is the only thing that has consistently made me actually feel the need for Guards before I could tech for anything. But as long as I keep my units in cover they don't push me off nearly fast enough. The early game dominance keeps that fuel income heavy and steady, and usually guarantees being able to respond to whatever the Axis manages to scrape together. I mean, here's the thing: against a good 222 I'll lose the VP advantage for a while, but generally I don't see my fuel threatened when I'm against Ostheer. I'm usually denying most, if not all of their territory early on.

Interestingly enough OKW usually is able to harass resources with their kubel. The kubel always dies eventually but the income they can deny usually gives OKW the breathing space they need to tech at somewhat a similar pace. Having to send my otherwise flanking/harassing penal battalion to handle the kubel can be such a pain.

As for the Flame Halftrack I haven't fought against it yet in 1v1s, but I see it in 2v2s. In one of those cases my british ally immediately AECed its face off. Otherwise I've gone T1>T2, then teched the moment I had enough fuel to churn out T34/85s til victory by VP.

And so I have yet to have any inclination to get PTRS and AT Satchels on Penals because Guards (specifically Guard motor) has always been a superior decision. Every light vehicle rush I have faced either came too late that I was close enough to T4 to just temporarily sacrifice the map control, or they didn't have significant ability to keep me off the field.

I think it's worth noting I also spam mines as Soviets. I do it in plain sight sometimes to make sure my opponent isn't comfortable rushing or flanking anywhere without sweepers.
