Changing this to target only hmg is not fair too. Should we not target pak howie, emplacements, mortar and ATG too?
I dont like this direction. The current meta, the time to kill a unit is already very low imo. Too much snappy action APM is favored for those with younger faster hands.

Doesnt make sense? This will further nerf Wehr already weaken combine arms play. Considering Allies fast packup and 6 man survivability and even on field reinforcement.
I would love to counter allies HMG with mortar by this suggestion but no, it will affect Wehr more. |
From my perspective this unit is basically a pack howitzer with 3-4 times as much airtime under the projectiles.
When it gets rolling it is still devastating but often there may be few stationary targets to fire at and it may not do much at all (vetting slowly) until the pace of play slows down to a crawl.
Giving a flare at vet0 and reducing popcap (b/c 10 is far too high) would allow for it to be more effective at finding its own stationary targets in 1v1s without risking a major change in performance.
The same change made the soviet 82mm mortar quite good
That will make it too strong imo. Vet0 flare on 82mm is already a cheap map hack.
Wehr cannot counter until their mortar reach vet1 for counterbarrage. |

Falls slowly? Not by much slower than frag bombs it seem. But it covers a wider area, and considering slow Wehr team weapons packup times or even retreating infantry.
I think it is too cheap as shown by the video above. How much wehr scatter arty cost? I think 100. For 10 more, wow CB is impressively unbalanced.

I think Allies off map AT strikes are WAY better than Axis especially what Wehr have.
IL2, Tank bombs, p47, hawker. These are remnants of when Axis tanks are superior. Needs some look at or at least make Wehr stuka strife more equally devestating. |
And you couldn't outflank one dushka that had basically no infantry support? even though the dushka has one of the narrowest cones of fire in the game? No wonder you lose Panthers to AECs, likewise, a single SU-85 with no infantry to snare for it means free real estate, just flank the bloody thing, it's turretless.

Zone the 120mm out, it'll lose vs any other mortar in the game, so just duel it into submission. I've already mentioned the Dushka's narrow cone of fire. (oh by the way, you're getting your ass kicked by an off-meta commander if he has both of those, good job.) And actually try using your entire infantry force to attack him, but I don't mean blob and A-move in front of his MG. Overwhelm him with micro, he's on the defensive, it's only natural he'll have the advantage.
Yes but dushka have fast fast reposition times and very offensive suppression and damages. I think he had 3 of them and backup by the reinforce ht. The 120mm i think had 2 and they are position far back because they can. 120mm simply drop them shells against my wehr units moving to clear the duskha and su85.
See the point i saying, these units are situational and their strenghts are OP if can be amassed. I seen what 2v2 can do by a team with off meta coordination, imagine 4v4.

Nope not this way. Its a situational unit with strong situational strengths, buffing it into more generalised unit may become another Jackson, unplayable in 4v4, too cheap in 2v2 1v1.
I played 2v2 where one sov just transition midway into 120mm, dushka, su85 and reinforce ht. Totally lock out a sector. Dushka with its high mobility gets to cap and defend. Su86 disable any AI tanks to clear dushka, and the 120mm to kill any ATG or capping infantry.

I dont see it use in 2v2 often. When it got used, it is probably by a team with predefined cheese strat. Hence any buff it gets in surivability and costs is going to intro cheese in 1v1 or even 2v2. Unless you are ok to trade its explosive damage and range for other buffs. |
Stop trying to buff allies unit, they are mostly in good spot already. The 120mm should not get pop or resource reduction imo. Vipper mentioned what i wanted to say about the 1 man retreat too. The 120mm is where it is now, because it is good already, good to use if needed to explosive damage.
It will be a nightmare in 4v4 if this unit get spam when it becomes cheaper and more survivable. |
