Please implement this. I will then block everyone who isn't top10 so I never get another noob teammate |
tis true, if u micro ur flak ht and dont lose it like nub then it+t4 truck ez kill loiter plans |
Personally I think early game the best thing to do versus snipers is to simply split up your troops across the map and capture as much as you can. Riflemen are generally better than Grens, and if he went sniper, he will most definitely have less infantry than you. So send all your riflemen around to capture and harass the map - force off any grenadiers you can that are alone, and keep your eye out for the sniper. If the sniper takes shots at a rifle, don't retreat right away - this lets the sniper move on to a new target. Instead, hide the rifle behind shot blockers to stall for time. The sniper either will have to find a new way to shoot you, or move on, either way, you are decreasing the effectiveness of it; if it moves on, you just continue to cap again, if it tries to keep hunting the riflemen, you can keep dodging it, thus wasting its time.
Eventually, ideally, you will get lucky. Either an M20 will flank it and kill it, or your riflemen will.
Most often I find that once your riflemen have double bars, it takes only 2 seconds of sloppiness for the Wehrmacht to lose the sniper. Once you flank it with the 2x BAR rifle squad, the sniper should die.
Don't go overboard early game though. You wont win the manpower war early game, so don't be aggressive. Use the advantage that you have in early game: more squads -> more map control |
was having some rl issues that day |
By buffing it's counters, right now infantry does nothing to the sniper and the 222 get's countered before it hits the field (I won't even discuss the kubel).
It's very much a low risk unit seeing as no other sniper has so much ehp and is immune to countersnipes.
NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO
just make it 1 man ffs |
Apart from praying an ISG or Stuka shot will hit them, the only think you can do is try to flank it with infantry or a vehicle and pray that you will kill it, since as we all know, it has 2 men and is pretty survivable. |
show respect to the guy who posts every single game he wins in 2v2 random... hmmm ... |
ever think maybe i was mad at myself for choosing the wrong commander, and that perhaps it was frustrating not being able to counter mgs/paks/bunkers at all since i had no calliope?
i merely said you're lucky i didnt have calliope - which is true, i've beat a lot of 2x wm teams ranking up and with calliope its easy. without, well, this kind of game happens - where mgs and paks just sit there until we lose ... plus the map is crossing in woods and u can lock everything down and sit there
get over yourself man, and congrats on your win |
I'm not sure why no one else has said the most obvious solution: make the soviet sniper a 1 man squad like the rest of the snipers.
There's no reason that it should be 2 men; the argument that it's unique is weak, and it's more like a gimmick. If you simply make the sniper a clone of the WM sniper, then you don't have to worry about all this "give 222 a +15% accuracy modifier vs snipers" or anything. Plus, buffing 222 doesn't help against anything other than suiciding the 222 for snipers... MAYBE. Once the 222 hits the field in team games (I'm talking about 2v2), and especially when playing against 2x Soviets, the soviets will have a combination of, or all of, the following: conscripts with AT nades, mines planted, AT gun fielded, Penal with PTRS.
I've seen instances of games where good soviet players have 2 snipers in early game, and already have AT nades / AT gun / PTRS in time for fast 222.
I know this for sure. Just last game I played vs a really tip top abusing soviet team on Moscow outskirts. My teammate and I had BOTH fuels during the entire "early game" (first 5 minutes) until we both rushed for Flammenwerfer HTs. We both waited for the flame to finish, and rushed the double sniper at the exact same time. The snipers INSTANTLY retreated, and at the same time, 4 conscripts from both players Oorah'd and AT naded both our halftracks. My partners then died to an AT gun that was already waiting in the sniper's retreat path.
So please people, do not talk about "222 is the counter" when soviets can get every single tool to counter 222 even with 0 fuel income (they simply need 15 fuel for AT nades and their starting fuel to build AT guns or Penals).
So, let me stress again. The fix is not a 222 buff, it's a sniper nerf. Make it 1 man. |
Thanks guys for your posts, but just a subtle reminder, I'm asking about vCoH
There are more than 7 active players, more like 2000. If you queue for 2v2 random you will likely always find between 6 and 20 players in the queue. Just FYI. |
