Yo did one of them use an infrared halftrack at any stage of the game? Doesnt matter if its destroyed by this stage. The bug from it and a vet 1 kubelwagen are the most common reasons for mistaken maphack assumptions
No, there is no halftrack. I watched the replay twice. However, DOWN SIDE UP plays the overwatch doctrine. Which might explain some stuff, if you take the forward headquarters into account.
However, 56:30 to 57:30 still remains a mystery for me. I have no idea how he knew about the hiding commandos. They were too far away from his forward headquarters to be spotted.
56:30 to 57:20 is also fun to watch.
He "scans" the vitory point before his obers approach.
The obers know exactly where the commandos are hiding and throw the grenade accordingly.
It be becomes very obvious if you hit "follow camera".
It´s the same around 59:25. He stares at the commandos about 5 times before he sends his tank. It´s obvious as hell, if you "hit follow camera" and select the player "Down Side up".
Just join the German forces, we have better tanks and cookies No need to play to allies
Well...some more serious advice now..
-shock troops are terminators
-good sniper play makes ostheer players cry
-t70 is a little gozilla
-t85 tank is good at hunting down bunnies
-forget about the Geneva convention and start to lay MINES!
-If you do regular sacrifices to the RNG-Gods, try B4s
I am struggling to beat USF in 4v4. I will briefly describe how most matches turn out for me.
Early on I have a hard time against USF grenades. Usually my MG42s are intented to stop the USF Rifleman, because my grenadiers fail to do that, but any good USF just pops some smoke around my position and rushes me with multiple grenades.
If I manage to survive this assault the lieutenant and M20 hit the field, which greatly boost the early game power of my opponent. Getting down some mines usually saves the day for me.
However when the USF get their forward retreat point they usually wear me down with arty and rifleman blobs. The main problem at this stage is, that the USF player can afford much more retreating and is able to repair his tanks way faster, because he does not need engineers.
I have tried various builds and doctrines to find a good strategy against USF, but it feels like USF is much more forgiving than Ostheer right now. Do you have any good strategy, build or doctrine suggestion, which works well against USF?
Short Summary:
Main Advantages USF has:
-early grenades easily wipe mgs
-grenadiers can´t stand their ground against rifles
-lieutenant and M20 boost early game power
-forward retreat point when major approaches the battleground
-better indirect fire options (pack howitzer and doctrinal abilities)
-ranger squads with bazookas shred any german armour
-faster tank repair speed, because USF does not need engineers
I played a lot of Axis, so i am going to sum up which allied tactis were difficult to counter for me.
Brits:
Good carrier-play can give both Axis factions headache early on. They have nothing to counter that effectively. Go for 3-4 Infantry section with 5-man upgrade after that and prepare to make an AEC.
Against OKW: The crocodile-flame-tank counters almost anything the OKW has, except for Panthers and King Tigers.
USF:
Well timed grenades work wonders against the Ostheer. Especially double nade on MGs. Try to throw multiple grenades at the same time, this is incredibly effectiv on maps with a lot of yellow cover.
Aside from that, Howitzers and Scotts are a real nightmare for OKW and OST Infantry. Double Scott is super nasty Pack up a few Jacksons and AT behind that and you will be fine.
