I loved Far Cry, the best game in 2012/13 I played so far! |
That's right, we're around since 2003! From Medal of Honour: AA to CoH2 I guess that makes us (one of) the oldest groups around here ^^ |
I've been criticized for quitting games too early and not giving myself a chance to come back. In reality, I'm just reading the game out to the end. The more experienced you are, the earlier you can see the outcome become clear. Do you know where the comebacks come from??? RNG
I'd rather lose than rely on luck to win.
Negative. If i'm behind I'll just try and drag the game on for as long as possible since I know I don't get tired and won't make anymore mistakes, while I'm at the same time trying to force my opponent into mistakes and show overconfident behaviour. |
2 things I always do: Focus on the upcoming game, not on the previous, and think of what you can do better this game, not what you did wrong last game. And second, never EVER give up
If you just lost a game, don't start the next one straight away. Break your opponent's winning – and your losing – momentum by making a pause of at least five minutes.
Personally I don't agree. If I played good and still lost in a really close game, all I think of is that I was so close to winning there's only 1 option next game: I win! These thoughts will only increase my flow (and thus my gameplay) even tho I just lost. |
I've just seen Invictus and Zero Dark Thirty and I both gave them 3 stars (and a half if possible ^^). Zero Dark Thirty is quite an interesting film since it breaks quite obviously with the classical Hollywood ideas. Bigelow reveals almost no personal information about the protagonist and only focus at her CIA work. This, combined with with realism gives the film an almost documentary feeling.
Invictus is also quite a nice film. Morgan Freeman is awesome as always, but it feels like the film is just a little bit too much trying to show the goodness of black and white together.. |
I learned about Symbiosis in biology classes quite a few years back at high school and I realised it is actually quite an amazing word and I found it to be quite fascinating how 2 different organic 'creatures' could stick together and both benefit And CoH and me are ofc a natural symbiosis MVGame.
I also use the name Rocktimbo a lot. My name is Tim, I play guitar, and my friends sometimes called me timbo. And when I once needed a username and tim@bla was already taken, then rocktimbo just came to my mind The funny thing is that on no site ever the name rocktimbo had already been taken, so I'm the only Tim who calls himself rocktimbo I guess |
Right now, imo the game's focus is not enough on early (infantry) game, as you can tech too fast. But it definitely has potential |
|
Django Unchained I loved it. But I already like both Westerns (I've seen other Django films too, there are like 30 ) and Tarantino films in general
Esp Christopher Waltz is just such an entertaining actor, his dialogues and his way of acting are just hilarious
edit: added it to the list and gave it 4 stars, it's really close to 5, but I think the middle part is just slightly too long and the film loses a bit of momentum there. |
Since there are still no clan forums here (hint ) I'll just make this topic here I'll rate every movie I see and comment on it if I feel like it. Feel free to discuss film with me (which I absolutely love doing )

I really liked the story line of The Adjustment Bureau and found it quite fascinating. It was a bit predicable but Nolfi keeps the film going and kept the attention of me. It makes you think about fate and destiny. And ofc Emily Blunt and Matt Damon are quite convincing as a couple |
