I have a sudden desire for Comrade Yuri's Guide to Smoke in Polandball format now.

I fail to see any downside to a blobbing debuff.

If there are 3 or more squads within a certain distance of each-other, then they get hit with a received accuracy penalty.

You'll heavily nerf strategies based around a number of cheap individually combat ineffective squads (like RE or ostruppen). If you apply it by the model you'll heavily nerf high model based factions (AKA allies). Then you would have to decide how close the squads should be to one another for the penalty to take effect. It's also yet another layer of complexity that you will never figure out unless told.

Vet 5 volk vs shock troops is kind of a case of what's shooting though! Incendiary rounds: The only Wehrmacht approved butter-knife!

The vet is a secondary concern (for the reason you pointed out). It's the concentration of damage to one model that could be a problem. With grens and their LMG it's "less" of an issue because you lose some pretty solid damage with each rifle lost and they have less health to plow through in total.

I will say it's an idea worth experimenting with despite my reservations (not that what I say means much ). I do feel it should be a minor (add a weapon) change that would simply help them hold their own against infantry with munition investments.

Something I do have to say about your multiple weapon combat package (I didn't quite grasp the scale of your suggestion until now) though is that it's pretty much unworkable. For one thing the LMG would be dropping all the time and weapons wouldn't pass on. Secondly it would either end up replacing all other infantry with volks or just never purchased. You're basically saying you want to copy how US infantry works except with expensive rather than cheap engineers.

The fancy "efficiency" percentages at the end of a match are awful ways of evaluating how effective a unit is. I mean I never get more than 10% efficiency with vehicle crews, ambulances, and medics so they must be awful right? I doubt it even takes into consideration how much suppression a unit has done (an MG's entire reason to exist).

That poll also tells us nothing about which faction is strongest.

It's less about the overall balance between factions and more that canister shot is all the greyhound has going for it. It IS a pretty silly ability, but relic doesn't seem interested in fixing anything related to recon company. At best they might remove the crit that causes it to instant kill infantry, but do nothing to anything else.

In the mean time treat it like a bundled nade. Keep moving around it (preferably toward it) and when it closes in or stops firing be prepared to GTFO.
