Basically, it makes 1 of the unique abilities of each DLC commander into something freely usable. However, the remaining ability stays locked behind the pay wall, and of course any similar mixes avoided. Alternatively, some kind of rotation of these paid DLC commanders into free use, every weekend would do a lot help the community adjust to both their use, and how to fight against them. Theese two suggestions are really great. I do hope that the first one is already planned in one way or the other. It would make sense to incorporate new abilities in new commanders, and perhaps carefully swap some in on existing commanders. Like the replacement infantry and osttruppen come to mind. The latter idea sounds very clever I think, even from a businesspoint of view. Relic can this wasy both give players the ability to use the commanders, and if they like it, they can buy it. Something they might have not cared about at all otherwise (could work both ways though, as new commanders can be to gimmicky or situational). In: COH2 Balance

Thread: booby traps need to change29 Sep 2013, 21:55 PM Now, im speaking without actually having seen or used the ability. But there are points that could be brought up without that imo. The boobytrap in CoH1 (on touching flags) had a very distinct tick. If you walked around to the other side of the flagpole when the trap sprung, you could avoid the trap. It would still explode, but not hur your guys (not that much). And another thing with the CoH1 version was multiple explosions. The first one was very unlikely to wipe a full health squad. But if you left your squad unattended, it would keep blowing up in their face, and you could loose a squad this way. I think that this CoH2 ability should work in a similar manner. Giving you the ability to react, and if you are quick enough dodge by backpedaling (although Input-lag, auto-cover and poor AI would most likely make even that a nightmare) to 'safe territory'. Also a a series of smaller explosions that wouldnt wipe squads, but seriousely wound and surpress/pin (depending on cost) could be nice. In: COH2 Balance

For now they will stay horizontally, in the future, maybe something else (especially when the commander count increases); or maybe even earlier. In any case, if you're going to print it, you can always turn it sideways or something. I might edit it a bit, so the print doesn't at least break any images. Thanks for the feedback! Thread: Anti-Tank vs Ostwind29 Sep 2013, 18:49 PM Solutions: Guards + upgrade -> button vehicle, or a doctrine with mark vehicle (3cps though). Try to support your ATG with a conscriptsquad or keep one nearby. An AT nade will stop it dead short, and then your ATG can shred the Ostwind quite fast. Mines infront or next to your ATG if you keep it static. 2 ATGs. In: Red Army Strategies
