Have you seen what a rifle grenade does to Riflemen or Infantry Sections? Have you seen what an MG42 equipped Gren sqaud or two behind some simple sandbags can do to 3 or 4 Riflemen or Infantry Sections when they try to close in to attack or capture a point? This isn't necessarily bad or unbalanced in and of itself until you consider how friggen expensive the Allied units and their upgrades are to keep them even just on par with this 240 manpower unit (thats only 40 more MP than a sorry Rear Echeleon sqaud) and basically free access to upgrades and abilities. Seriously you start out with basically shock infantry that will murder the hell out of Riflemen and sorry Rear Echeleons. Back them up with your cheap Volksgrens and just make sure to position them right. Volks are superior at long range to USF infantry and Strums superior at close range to those units. Riflemen are the most overrated infantry unit in the game. In: OKW Strategies
Thread: Is OKW or Wehrmacht easier?7 Jul 2018, 08:18 AM Of the two easiest factions to play, which is easier? Both of these factions have a lot of crutches and call ins like being able to replace vetted units that are wiped with elite infantry such as Panzergrens or Obersoldaten. Or for armor being able to rely on multiple doctrines with Tiger tanks for Wehrmacht or stock King Tigers for OKW before we even get to their OP team weapons. But anyway I feel like OKW is easy to play since you can just blob early and win most of your games thanks to nerfed allied MGs and having a shock infantry unit as a starting sqaud backed up by probably the best stock infantry unit in form of Volksgrens. On the other hand Wehrmacht has a pretty decisive advantage with MG42s that instapin, some maps its just a matter of rushing an MG42 into a couple specific buildings and its gg. Sniper and mortar are good. I guess Wehrmacht is more powerful but requires a little more micro where as OKW you can just blob your way to victory early on. In: OKW Strategies

Maybe they're rivaled by conscripts some what but they beat the hell out of much more expensive Riflemen and Tommies. As for the MG42, its getting hate because Allied MGs got nerfed into the ground for some pretty weak reasons considering the MG42 went on unchanged. The Vickers cannot even defend a capture point anymore, enemy sqauds can take from you before it will pin them, its friggen pathetic. I guess only Axis MGs should be allowed to pin infantry apparently. If you're going to leave all MGs with the same stats they have now then that damn MG42 doesn't need to be in T0, swap its spot in the tech tree with the Grens. In: COH2 Balance

For one, put the Bren back to where it was. Yes double brens were good, you needed them to counter elite late game axis infantry like Obers and Panzergrens. They nerfed the bren and gave it weird stats that don't make any sense, but did they nerf those late game non-doc elite axis infantry and their OP non-tech required grenades? Nope! They really screwed with the supression on the Vickers MG that its comical now, it can't even defend a capture point and pin infantry before they take it away from you. Did they nerf the MG42? Nope! I guess only Axis factions are allowed to pin infantry. Seriously who came up with these dumb changes to Brits with the last patch? Some OKW fanboy? In: COH2 Balance
