Nerf the Scott, nerf the pack howitzer, nerf the Jackson, nerf the .50 cal. Each of the recent threads on these units both here and on the steam forums have garneded 50 or more replies. Rediculous, I guess USF isn't allowed effective units. I'm surprised I haven't seen many complaints about the dozer blade Shermans. |
While pak and scott aim to be a sniper of sort, but imo they are performing much better pound for pound.
Sniper needs much micro, die easier and you counter snipe. It is heavy investment, high risk high reward.
You cannot say that for pak and scott. Which i believe the lack of hard counter is the problem, especially for Wehr. Both Usf arty are hands-off auto fire with great accuracy and damages, against 4 man wehr and their needs to stay still.
Im thinking Pak profile can be like land mattress, can be destroyed by vehicle. Remember land mattress was QoL bad even though it cannot retreat and have reload times?
Scott definitely needs resources to go up. Too cheap for its performance. Pwafer dies easily to a rushing T34. Scott is too 'cheap' too durable to gain veterancy.
Im not a Usf player, but when i play 2v2 using usf, more of my units are vetted than wehr, enjoying those sweet usf vet bonus.
I think Panzer IVs, Ostwinds, Luchs, and Pumas hard counter M8 Scotts and lame Pack Howitzers pretty well. |
Yes lets nerf one of the most useless USF units lol. Those things suck so bad I've seen them lose in duels to LEIGs. I honestly wouldn't care if they did because like Insaid they're a waste of pop and MP. |
Cav rifles i dont think would be a problem at t0 if you make thompson upgrade cp required and give them a build time maybe. They are not that dangerous in the dodge with out the thompsons unless your opponent is a moron, grens have snares, okw t0 rak, 90 percent axis call in inf has snares, if you get rolled by t0 cav rifles in a dodge you prolly suck. Mostly fusilers just shouldnt be t0. People defend it by saying their rifles worse then volks blah blah but they have no build time become super blobable early where there sheer numbers make up for it, awesome when in cover defending hard to assault.
It would be nice if i didnt have to delay by making a mortar etc so i can stall to call in 2 cav rifle squads
I'd say just tie the Thommpsons to teching to LT or CPT. Although they're is no teching required for four StG44s on Strums but whatever that would be a fair enough compromise. |
Not every axis unit have double shreks.
Plus if double shreks hit the field and vehicles are less effective, dealwithit.jpg, thats kinda the point of them.
So why is anyone bringing up Allied light vehicles as if they matter because with friggen T0 double schrek panzergrens they're completely irrelevant. |
Perhaps on your skill level where people just walk into snare range.
Furthermore, what happens when a Gren Snares a vehicle? Its not like OST has a great light vehicle to finish it off.
Did you forget the double schreks? |

Indeed those Axis-faction Soviets, Brits, and USF sure have awesome units.
It's almost like each faction has its own advantages and strong units, while having certain weaknesses in its roster. When you only play one faction your brain starts to grow mould, and you won't be able to see the advantages that your faction gets, nor will you be able to realise the disadvantages that other factions are suffering.
Double Schreks/free snares on almost every Axis infantry unit = Allied light vehicles are completely irrelevant.
Most of what you mentioned for Allies is doctrinal and locked behind a ton of CPs to ensure they come too late to make a difference. |
I think this Urban Assault commander is pretty stupid personally and makes no sense. As to the WP shells for Shermans those should have been given to the Easy 8 with Rifle Company. The E8 is the only Sherman variant without an alternate ammunition type and it would fit in with the WP theme of Rifle Company. As it is the E8 is only available in one lackluster commander and frankly its not that great of a deal cost wise compared to the 76mm Sherman and dozer blade equipped 75mm M4A3s |
...and AT satchel should be 30 munitions. It would just be nice to have a starting unit as USF that isn't complete garbage you know. |
Why should we change anything? If we nerf penals and pgrens, how are EFA supposed to compete with better WFA mainlines?
Well 1) WFA mainlines aren't actually better all things considered
2) Cheaper and better and more readily available support weapons and upgrades more than make for any slight advange USF or UKF infantry have.
It's not enough the Axis factions have the best tanks, engineer units, team weapons, heavies, they have to have the best infantry too with free upgrades and abilites. Yep this is the CoH2 community sounds about right. Hey why don't we nerf the Jackson and Churchill too while we're at it. |
