When cons get handheld laser guns.
Until that just keep ranting noises as low as possible. Tnx
Oh watching the community balance team screw up this once cool game is more entertaining than the game itself now lol.
I said it was stupid to put Panzergrens at T1 and that they were already even before this monstrosity balance patch a B.S. OP unit with the dual schreks and sure enough that's what we're seeing just blobs of these things. What do you have as USF to counter this? Oh yeah "the best mainline infantry" Riflemen that get shredded by a basic OKW engineer unit lol.
|
Have you tried yet..... dual weapon upgrades?
Yeah because that's really a viable, reasonably priced option at 150 MP 15 fuel and then 120 munitions after retreating to your base giving up map control. |
LOL you are all complaining and talking about nerfing literally the ONLY effective unit USF has. It is seriously the ONLY USF unit that is both good at it's job and reasonably priced. |
...because that's what they need to be effective now. They've always been a mediocre unit at best but now they're pretty much a joke. Worst balance patch ever. |
I know I've got a reputation for bias toward USF but I'm going to try to be objective here and ask for some changes if possible:
I used to use Rifle Company but now it seems like the two best most effective commanders (to me) are Mechanized (I play 80% of the time) and Heavy Cavalry (The other 20% of the time). I used to like the Easy 8 and that and WP are about the only reasons to pick Rifle Company but the E8 just seems pretty lackluster for its price especially compared to the significantly cheaper Sherman 76 for Mechanized Company. The E8 currently is the only Sherman variant without an alternate type of ammunition. They should, IMHO, give it the ability to alternate between WP shells and the standard ammunition it already uses. It would increase the E8's versatility, kind of go along with the WP theme of the Commander, and incidently let you reenact the 2014 film, Fury.
The other thing I would like to see which may be more of a stretch is giving the Pershing a pintle mounted .50 cal upgrade and a dozer blade upgrade for 80 munitions each for better AI and increased health, plus it would look really cool and the vehicle is pretty pricey for what it is. |
USF is at a disadvantage vs OKW especially because they have units that cost more but really aren't any better than their OKW equivalents. Riflemen are supposed to be better than Volksgrenadiers (LOL right...) so you've got a 280 MP unit with a 28 MP reinforcement cost against an equally good unit unit for 250 MP and 25 MP reinforcement cost and then you throw in their elite infantry starting unit that forces you to retreat and its gg everytime unless the RNG gods smile on you that day. There is really no reason at all for Riflemen to cost more than Volksgrens. |
Atomic gave excellent advice. However as a beginner, I'd suggest u use allied light vehicles first as they are bulletproof and more forgiving. Just get pgrens (which aren't exactly easy to use either) and paks. Ost is hands down teh weakest faction, you've been warned.
Not even close. It sounds like you've never once played the Western Allies. |
Well don't bother building ANY emplacements in that situation for starters. |
No, do not engage them 1:1 unless you have cover and they do not. Volks are great for their cost, they get better with ugprades and vet nice. But out of the gate Volks are better than Conscripts in terms of mainline infantry. But weaker than Penals, Rifles, Infantry Sections AS THEY SHOULD BE. As they are cheaper to field than any of the those mentioned.
Don't listen to anyone who says otherwise, they're a cheap unit to field so they have cheap performance. They get better later on, Penals don't do well late game because they are just too easy to kill with better options.
Personally I struggle as OKW vs the Penal Scout Car spam, a good player makes it a nightmare. But blob up, focus the car down, lay a mine and hope for the best. Spread yourself thin and you'll be losing all those 1:1 engagements. Good micro on sturms can go far, but Penals can burst them down scarily fast if you are not careful.
I'm primarily an allied player, and I made the swap to OKW because the search queue bias and I wanted a change. But boy, it's a challenge for me to adjust to them.
I find OKW is probably the easiest faction to play and get the hang of. Volksgrens and JLI are so cost effective it's just super easy to overwelm your opponent without much thought. |
Volks are the best mainline infantry in the game. Volks will own Conscripts, Riflemen and 4-man Infantry Sections but Penals they will struggle against. |
