For whatever reason the Jackson nerf did not make it into the patch (besides sight reduction). This unit is overperforming especially against ostheer who just recieved a nerf to the stug (long overdue). A large nerf is not needed, but I think a slight pen reduction at far range is definitely warranted with the extra health it has now. |

What happened to the 4v4 map pool its pretty dam awful atm.
City 17 was removed but virtually know one voted for this yet Lanzerath Ambush, Lorch Assault and Port of Hamburg stay in the game?
Also what were the reasons for putting Across the Rhine in to 3v3 yet keeping Red Bull Express in 4v4. The maps are very similar but Across the Rhine is a larger map, more room for flanking and just suited 4v4 better than Red Ball Express.
I dont understand why there was vote and then the community is not listened to. The vote was flawed anyway as half the maps are missing from the vote.

Luckily, there are vetoes. I do agree that some of the maps have gotten quite stale, although lets be honest City 17 was horribly unbalanced. I would personally like to see more maps in the map pool as well as more vetoes. |
Listen son, I work for a living, no mommy and daddy to pay for me, my car or my girlfriend so I don't give a damn about who you are, what level you are or how well you play, I, like most of this community, just want to play this game for a few hours after work and just relax a little, while you, like I said, represent only about 5-10% of this entire community.
So no, I don't think that we should aim to be like you, HelpingHans, VonIvan and the rest of the "pro" players, I have watched HelpingHans specifically and have played other games with him as well and I admire the fellow however like I said, I don't see why we should suffer and try to be like him in order to enjoy this game.
And enjoying this game means that it should be balanced, and it's only balanced around the top players, so if it were me I would try not to go to some extreme but try and strike, a balance, no pun intended so that everyone can be happy.
And by balance I don't mean stat changes which can be abused by the pro players, I mean actually listening to the rest of the god damn community and implementing compromising changes that the bigger part of the community can also enjoy the game.
And that shall be it until like I suggested 2 game modes be implemented, 1 for the smaller 1v1 and 2v2 competitive scenes and 1 for the bigger and more casual 3v3 and 4v4 scenes, then, I would fully agree that no compromise should be met as both sides would have their own "sectors" so to speak which they can enjoy.
But as long as we are in a single boat that only favors one side tensions will always be high and disagreements always out there, unless like I said compromises are made so more can be happy than unhappy.
The top 5 to 10% of players are the part of the community that are most knowledgeable about the game. They absolutely SHOULD be the ones making the decisions about balance because balance doesn't really affect the rest of the player base anyways. I also don't understand what changed that made the game so terrible to play. Personally, I have been having more fun than ever especially since the commander revamps. |
Is this asking for a storm trooper buff? maybe? Idk the idea of able to move and cloak + tactical assualt 4x StG 44s sounds pretty OP to me.
I agree. In addition, stormtroopers have access to a sprint ability at vet 0, something commandos only get at vet 2. This on top of them being much more effective at range and scaling much better makes this seem like not a good idea. |
I'm rank ~1000 with OKW and got this guy who is rank 24 with USF and he beat me in under 15 minutes.
Question: what the fuck is wrong with matchmaking?
Shouldn't I get players close to my rank?

Surprised you lasted that long. This is an unfortunate side effect of having a relatively small player base, sometimes you get unfair matches. The longer you spend searching the more the algorithm expands its parameters, increasing the chance that you'll match with someone outside your ELO range.
I will admit this is a particularly lopsided match, but you can minimize the chances of this happening in the future by restarting your search every few minutes or so. |
The comet does seem to perform slightly better, although I have only used it in 1 game so far. However, the Comet is still not worth building imo because its AI is terrible. It seems to perform worse than the Cromwell against infantry and AI is what a lategame brit really needs since they already have the Firefly and 6-pounder for AT.
The Churchill synergizes much better with a lategame brit army and combined with the airburst shells and heavy sappers make this choice a no brainer for me.
They really need to give hammer specialization something special because right now it sucks unless you want to go for some crazy VonIvan tank all-in with war speed. |
The Vickers is now 260 mp and gains 20% extra suppression at vet 2. This along with a mortar nerf across the board has made a double Vickers start a more attractive option. However, I see pro players mostly going for section heavy builds and in some cases foregoing mg's entirely (at least in the previous patch). What do you guys think about the viability of this strat? |
Doesn't compare to the worst offender of all time, the Tiger Ace on release. If I remember correctly it had double the health, double the armor that it has now and gave you your income back after 10 minutes of it being alive (or something like that). Insta win every time.
Honorable mention to the USF combined arms glitch where you could stack it and make your tanks main gun fire like a machine gun. |

I remember when this unit used to wipe squads. Now you're lucky if it wipes a model. If you can successfully use it to counter a flak ht or luchs then I would say getting it is worth it, otherwise I never build it. If you can keep it alive then it does get pretty decent with vet for watching the flanks. |
