That still shows that a super bazooka (I didn't even know there were two versions of the bazooka) has a chance to fail at near to penetrate a p4, where-as a shrek won't fail to penetrate even at far (just miss). The fast throw means you are more likely to get it off before suppression (forcing the mg away), can chuck + escape if you are using it as a yolo strat, and also means you free up your attention elsewhere. I understand that instant impact means more burn time if it actually lands, I just find for the purposes of the flame nade/molotov, one performs its utility better. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: M5 quad underwhelming23 Oct 2018, 16:04 PM I honestly think it's fine mostly fine. The 100 muni cost is indeed steep, but as a "Soviet main" I think it does its job pretty well. Having said that, it does feel a little weird that a single 50 cal HMG suppresses better than 4x50 cal HMGs. But eh, its AA is super good, and for that I think it serves it's own top-heavy role. I think the only real issue with it is that it doesn't perform anywhere near what the other AA options do. Ostwind and Centaur can fight and kill light vehicles and light tanks, and even damage mediums in a pinch. the USF AA HT can even counter a puma if you distract it and/or time the shots. The quad can't really do any of that, and I'm not saying it _should_ be able to, just that if one goes into using it with the same expectation as those other AA units, they may find themselves with a bill for resources and not much to show for it. Thread: Countering JP4/Ele20 Oct 2018, 18:27 PM I imagine it's a rare occurrence for two TDs to stand and take pot shots at each other, and so marginal damage ups can help if say there's another source of damage (shrek, rak, PTRS, tank, arty, whatever). Thread: How to % bonuses stack from intel bulletins?18 Oct 2018, 23:24 PM This is more for my curiosity than it is for actual gameplay, since 3% faster cooldown between shots probably translates to jack and shit when all's said and done, but I am always curious how some of these intel bulletins actually stack. So I fully understand that it doesn't actually matter at all. So, let's say for example that I have two bulletins that give a KV-1 "extra armor". Such as these two: Thicker Skin -- "KV-1 has 4% increased defense": https://coh2db.com/bulletins/view/id/186/name/thicker-skin and Just a Scratch -- "Armor on KV-1 increased by 3%": https://coh2db.com/bulletins/view/id/207/name/just-a-scratch So I am assuming these both mean the same thing (the armor value of the unit is increased by 3% and 4%). My question is do the two multiply or are they additive? Is it a total 7% bonus or is it actually 7.12%? Again, I know this doesn't actually matter, at all, but I'm curious how these stack. And finally does this logic work across the board or is it that some bulletins are an additive stack and others are multiplicative? edit: just saw my typo in the title. Should be 'do'. Heck, in game pgrens are more or less shock troops too by the same definition. The term is pretty loosely defined and should really be a more blanket term like “rifleman” as in an infantryman with a rifle as opposed to specifically mainline US infantry. The terminology of the word shouldn’t define the actual role/balance of the coh2 Soviet unit called shock troops. What? No... the name is super important, and clearly *shock* troops must be... If you *really* want shock troops to be an urban specialist then just let them upgrade to a flamer Actually, that'd be pretty dope. Kind of like a supped up version of sturms with the flamer.
