Now we can make a real penal-troup for a future commander or revamp. u could just call them strelki... what penals need is less earlygame powerspike and more lategame scaling.... i propose to give the new "strelki" a copy of the volksgrenadier KAR and target size and a normal grenade + satchels removed from strelki... but 6 man instead of 5 man priced at 280mp.... with 2 exclusive upgrades panzerfusillier style... a lategame AI the ability to upgrade to 2/3 DP-28s (depending on what seems balanced)... a mutually exclusive antitank upgrade with AT satchels + regular satchels and PTRS + rifle sprint (not oorah) In: COH2 Gameplay

Su-85 can't chase retreating axis armor. id say the T-34-76 is fine with having ram as an ability only if ram were more consistent... an ensured engine crit at 75% hp plus a gun destroyed crit below 25% hp would be a really good change for ram imo... the T-34-85`s ram needs to be reworked to something else entirely In: COH2 Balance

Thread: What are the problems of Soviets in 1v1? 9 Oct 2019, 11:56 AM Jump back to quoted post9 Oct 2019, 11:49 AMStug life on one hand, PF are the bests scalling infantry in the world tbh id argue that the best scaling infantry is the conscript...vet 3 + 7 man conscripts are capable of taking down anything... even obers have trouble against vet 3 7 man conscripts... at vet 0 however the unit is utter trash and is crapped on hard by the lack of a machinegun... meaning the odds of surviving to lategame especially against okw is close to null unless you significantly outplay the opponent... ostheer at least can be overwhelmed by opting to cover more ground instead of engaging them directly... just make sure to avoid that mg-42 at all cost... youre likely to win any engagement with grens so long as the MG-42 isnt involved thanks to the +1 squad you have (since u didnt spend MP on a machinegun) In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Axis armor bounce a little to often9 Oct 2019, 09:46 AM i dont think axis armor is a big problem... the SU-85/FF/jackson pretty much demolish all axis armor except for doctrinal callins... the main issue i have atm are: falls (which need to lose that damn faust)... volks (which still outclass conscripts while having more utility)... IRHT (4v4 cancer in 1 unit)... and on the allied side... T-34 ram (the 85 version needs to be changed/the 76 version needs a buff)... maxim (utterly useless)... penals (too strong earlygame)... Thread: T34 Ram9 Oct 2019, 00:23 AM the T-34-76 ram... though has its uses isnt even half as useful as sherman smoke or OKW spearhead... even combat blitz despite being vet 1 locked is far more useful (and used) in games... it should definitely be buffed to consistently cause engine crit at 75% hp plus ministun... OR replaced with APCR for higher penetration... the T-34-85 ram is absolutely useless... should be replaced with smoke or something more useful... In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Soviet tanks are garbage8 Oct 2019, 11:34 AM this feels like a troll thread... soviet tanks arent crap... although i feel ram should be a better ability Jump back to quoted post7 Oct 2019, 14:18 PMspajn Soviet quality was crap in real life. in what sense? the T-34 mod 41 had superior armor and gun to the panzer 4F...it was also a significantly faster tank with better cross country mobility... the T-34 mod 43 had superior armor to the Panzer 4 F2-G while sporting a gun good enough to penetrate the 50mm of armor the panzer 4 F2-G sported.... and of course its also faster the T-34-85 outclasses the Panzer 4 H-J outright in all aspects except ergonomics... if youre comparing on the standards of optics and ergonomics then thats the tradeoff for being all that and having a pricetag less than half of that of a sherman... and if we talk about soviet heavies well the IS-2 mod 44 is lighter than tiger but sports a bigger gun capable of knocking out all fielded german heavies... and armor resistant to the KwK 43 up to 1km... did i mention that its faster aswell? Thread: T34/85 or KV1 in Soviet Industry Commander? 4 Oct 2019, 16:32 PM as i said before... a T-34-85 wont really help this doctrine as there would be significant fuel burden to the doctrine... perhaps premium optics and treads would be nice.. but i would prefer say an "improved fuel cache" that generates more fuel per tick... it really plays into the theme of soviet industry tactics being a armor spam doctrine In: COH2 Balance
Thread: T34/85 or KV1 in Soviet Industry Commander? 4 Oct 2019, 13:41 PM industry suffers from the deficiency of all core soviet builds... it doesnt get callin infantry... soo its early-midgame is as bad as core soviet when opening with T2 and its mid-lategame is pretty bad when opening with T1... (which should really be fixed if the balance team gave a damn about crutches) but at the same time its only crutch are fuel based lategame units like the KV-2 and KV-8... i doubt adding a KV-1 or a T-34-85 will help the commander due to fuel burden... the best option imo would be to emphasise on the "industry" part and allow soviet industry to have some kind of a doctrinal cache that say provides increased resources...
