This post strongly reaffirms what I was saying in another post.

COH2 needs a way to have more maps that are not player vs player oriented. It needs some sort of Custom games automatch. Where the scores do not count but it lets players play more "FUN" oriented maps. There are a lot of players that just want to relax and make giant armies and watch stuff blow up.

FACTS:
1) There is no way to learn this game from within the game. Cover, Weapons, RNG, garrisons etc are not covered anywhere in the game.
2) Maps are too open to learn from playing AI bots that flank you all the time.
3) Maps are too big and open for head-on meat grinder matches against people. Except Redball and Port of Hamburg

As I said before Helping Hans was a casual at one point. Now he is one of the best players. How many other players has COH2 lost due to the steep undocumented learning curve. MGs and mortar do not need a manual to use. They let people get their feet wet and gradually learn while having fun.

Anyone who says Raketen is good has gone FULL RETARD. How many games do you play where tanks drive right thru its arc multiple times and they never even shoot. #EsportsReady

I had hopes the change would benefit maps with houses. But COH2 decides what is going to happen in such stupid ways that the new change makes buildings even stupider than before.

Example:
- A grenade or mortar is sent towards a building.
- Units decide to exit building.
- Said grenade/mortar changes path mid air and lands at doorstep killing all units.

If COH2 was not written so poorly, the new system may have helped buildings be less OP. Instead, it ruins micro and causes more of these RNG squad wipes in a game that has way too much RNG already.

There is something for COH3. Write the code so it acts like every other game in the world. You launch a weapon and calculate were it will land with a random pattern. Apply AOE from the hit. Not launch ordinate and make it hit squad no matter what, but adjust the damage it does. If they are exiting building kill everyone, even though in reality it would not have landed anywhere near them! Derp.

Actually rewrite ALL of the code for buildings because it all sucks ass.
1) Truesight mechanic squad outside a building shooting at squad in building. Squad outside 2 guys are shooting 3 are playing with there butts because they cant see?
2) MGs always enter building and point the wrong way. And now it seems like eternity before you can get them to turn the right way.

How can I add rain to the map?

I am guessing this is a troll since you are "DRY"tek asking how to make a map "WET".

You can load some weather presets or start with these settings and adjust for your pleasure.


Pay attention to the DENSITY setting 0-No rain, 100-Monsoon
Select a rain texture you like and adjust the speed.
Snow is just a different texture, slow the speed, add Randomize amount, and add bouyancy so the flakes float around.

Remember to test loading presets on a garbage map cause they change all sorts of things and will wreck all your work. But you can see the settings and make mental notes.

Dont forget to go to MISC ENVIRONMENT and add some extra SPECULAR and GLOSS to make stuff look all plasticy and wet

Every game I've played since the update, I crash around the 12 to 15 min mark.

Are you playing AUTOMATCH or against AI? If it was patch related, I would expect you to say against AI. As in the AI crashes on a certain item/model when introduced.

Have you tried stuff like reduce your physics settings? In case a models collision box is wonky?
