I got the UI bug on Lienne yesterday. I was on stream so I did not mess around. But I easily fixed it by selecting a different unit from the upper right unit icons and then reselecting the bugged squad. Has anyone else had luck with this method? In: COH2 Bugs

But we are starting to find that objects destroyed by ordinates (guns, fire, etc) DO NOT destroy the objects blocking cube in the game code. So shooting an object will make it appear destroyed, but it is not until it has been run over with a vehicle. This all needs tested for every object. But it does not appear limited to this object only, but probably most objects. In: COH2 Bugs
Thread: Alliance of Defiance18 Jan 2020, 21:20 PM I had a similar thing happen with Lamp Post objects. They were destroyed and not visible but were still blocking shots. I am now guessing most objects continue to block shots until they are crushed by a vehicle. Destruction by ordinates does not "crush" them (ie remove their blocking cube) in the code. Now I dont trust anything anymore. I dont feel safe! In: Automatch Maps
Thread: Alliance of Defiance18 Jan 2020, 17:20 PM I just played around with the small barrel stack on palettes. Ahhhh classic Relic. Light vehicles can shoot them and destroy them to a state where there is only a palette and bottom rings of the barrels left. At this point they still block pathing and shots. I then blasted them with a medium tank. Nothing changed. They still block pathing and shots. Running over them with a medium tank finally destroys them to the state of NOT blocking pathing and shots. However, they visually never change appearance. So they look identical when they block and when they do not block. I am guessing there was supposed to be a 3rd model state or some other bug. Is there a list of bugged objects and their issues? We really need one. In: Automatch Maps

I was trying to say that sometimes the stuff that makes no sense looks best. I was not disagreeing with your point. Just saying stuff like the tree with the vehicles around it seems not natural. But it feels natural/random/realistic. As for the trench areas, they make a map look like a huge battle has taken place here and adds history. But having the trenches rotated would block pathing. Just a thought. TROIS PONT Here the fences dont make a lot of sense. But it looks correct or should I say natural. More real or organic. KHOLODNY This area looks like someone just randomly made a palette of objects then forgot to place them where they should be. But somehow it looks realistic to a degree. In: Automatch Maps
Thread: Alliance of Defiance17 Jan 2020, 17:45 PM It is what I always say about COH2 maps. If you make it like a real world it does not look real in game. It feels more real when it has things like a suitcase or a cast iron tub in the middle of a field I always notice when a fence is made of several different types of fence. Something no one would ever do. But it looks way more real when you have a mixture of fence objects. Later I started to think that the different sections make it feel like it has been there for a long time and was patched or changed. So it feels older and therefore more real. But having a single stretch of fence looks fake??? Its weird. Lets pray for more objects in COH3. In: Automatch Maps

Thread: UI for Inf. disappear ingame8 Jan 2020, 17:08 PM I am still testing but so far: 1) I took the live map files, did not change anything, did not press SAVE, and recompiled it. Got the UI bug. 2) If I change the scenario name and then recompile, I do not get any UI bugs. 3) Changed the scenario name back to original ID string and recompiled. No UI bugs. I need to test the LIVE compile files vs unchanged files. LIVE files renamed and compiled creates four major file differences: - SCENARIOMARKER - SBG - _LAO.DDS - _TDM.DDS I used HxD HEX EDITOR to compare files at the byte level. The differences were large. So saving the files in the worldbuilder seems to fix what ever errors exist in those four files. No SCAR code changes were found. And as we have seen in Lienne Forest, the SCAR code was not changed but the bug was introduced. So it looks like the binary map files are getting bugged at some point. More testing to come... Thread: UI for Inf. disappear ingame8 Jan 2020, 02:16 AM I have been doing some testing for this bug on Vilshanka and had this scenario happen: If I select unit #1, then select #2 or #3 there will be no menu for #2 or #3. If I select any other unit, then select #2 or #3, they have menus. Hope this helps some one figure out the issue. And also may help some one the next time they get the bug, try selecting different units then back to the missing menu unit. However, it did not fix the menu bug. The unit was always bugged if I selected #1 first. Think of it as another level of micro. So it a feature now But twice now I have had the bug and could always get it if I selected the same units in the same order. Selected in a different order and the menus were correct. In: COH2 Bugs
