How is it acceptable to have these WR% in 2v2 3v3 4v4 over several months?
Considering how matchmaking works these WR% are pretty incredible. Despite the matchmaker trying to even out every game by matching players of similar elo Allies somehow manage to get 40-45% WR in 2v2 3v3 4v4 over hundreds of thousands of games. There were almost 42000 4v4s played in the month of May alone.

Their K98 and G43 stats are up to date and as you can see:
- at long range, the K98 of both squads is roughly the same.... but on mid and short range its pretty garbage compared to volk version.
- The G43 is a bit better than stg44 on closerange but at midrange, the volk stg is better. On longrange its roughly the same again.
So in total, the fusiliers with G43 have a tiny tiny bit better longrange dps and better closerange cuz of the 6th model. And slightly better moving dps (stg44 isnt bad here either with 0.75 accuracy modifier).
But personally I dislike fusiliers. They're more expensive (mp and ammo) than volks but for what? DPS that is -to me- barely noticeable any better because most fights happen on long to mid range. Also, locking in a commander immediately at the start means you can get counterpicked or counterplayed. And trash early game if the enemy closes the distance.
Also keep in mind:
- no sandbags which can be a pain in the ass if the map doesnt offer good cover
- no incendiary nade so you cannot deny cover/houses
- no veterancy self-heal
- volks get a -10% received accuracy bonus at vet 1 already. Fusiliers are target size 1 until vet 3, where they then have the same target size like vet 3 volks. Meaning they can drop like flies before that. 10% less damage from small arms fire can make a huge difference in the early game

But yes, looking at G43 fusiliers in a complete vacuum, they are the superior squad
Füssiliers have better sight range with the G43 update. They also have a flare which gives synergy in combination with JT. As well as the same snare range as Grenadiers, which is very noticeable compared to the Volks Panzerfaust. Obviously having access to snares immediately also helps a lot against the M3. Overall I think Füssiliers are pretty balanced. Going 1-2 Volks, then 2 PF is pretty good and definitely better than just going 3-4 Volks as the game progresses. |
well, would be an interesting idea to see what would happen if all infantry DMG/ROF was reduced by 20% or so.
would be welcome by some people, me included
Huh? This would totally destroy any sort of balance we have at the moment. |
RED UNITS STILL OP WTF RELIC ?!?!?!?!?!?!"2112212 |
Also, camouflage constantly breaks momentarily for the unit while its models "chat" with each other.
This is what I noticed aswell. They randomly break cloak sometimes because of model animations. It depends on how big the cover used for cloak is. It never happens in a large yellow cover crater for example. |
this thing with the snipers is becouse of the cover change (so that wire stops sandbags).
As a result the cover area is noticable reduced, which is a thing i noticed instantly when trying to countersnipe.
Areas that were previous in cover suddenly arent, you basically need to hug the wall bigtime
That's not really what I meant. I meant that even if you put a sniper in cover and the yellow or green shield appears sometimes the sniper doesn't seem to cloak. Or even more annoying it cloaks and then randomly loses cloak despite no order being given or recon being around (or enemy units or whatever). I think it is because even on hold fire the model can move a little (like turn around or do some other model animation) and then it destroys cloak. |
Yes, this happens since the 64bit patch. I have had the issue of snipers randomly not camouflaging despite no units being around (no wounded models from past infantry engagements nearby or recon abilities activated). Weird issue. |
The slow reload only matters in a handful of cases. Due to the higher alpha damage, especially at vet 3, its DPM/TTK against most targets is or becomes higher than any other TD. And that's not even counting the extra damage it can get from the Tulips.
Why does slow reload only matter in a handful of cases? The FF does 200 damage so it still needs 4 shots to kill a P4 if it doesn't miss/bounce. Same as SU85 and Jackson. It's only at vet 3 that it can 3 shot a medium tank and then you still have the problem of penetration as it never gets any penetration bonus with vet. In my opinion, both the SU85 as well as the Jackson are WAY better than the Firefly. |
No. It needs to trade something for the extra accuracy, alpha damage and the option to carry a mobile snare (with 1000) pen. If you really want to have more pen, you can get a Command Vehicle.
That something is bad mobility and insane munitions requirements and slow reload. There is no reason why a slow ass TD with 8 seconds reload should bounce on a P4. |
Firefly does its job great, she's just muni intensive. Highest dps TD with pretty great accuracy and pen.
It has the worst penetration of all Allied TDs so no it doesn't have "great pen".
