I am simply tired of reading again and again how the USF mortar was nerfed (as if it was the only mortar affected) and how bad it is live (I am not saying that you wrote that), when this is simply not the case.
The fact that MOD team decided to buff the vet 1 ability of the Ostheer mortar while nerfing the other USF option is further indication how powerful USF indirect fire support become after the mortar/tech changes.
Or just that counter barrage kinda sucks in live lol. |

Cons with ppshs are really cheap to reinforce and to make initially, and they've got molotovs, AT nades, sprint, tripwires, and sandbags. They also still get pretty tough with vet and 3 ppshs is still enough firepower to off most axis squads anyway. They're the conscripts of assault infantry just like normal conscripts are (obviously) the conscripts of mainline: inferior DPS but good utility and survivability. |

I dont want cromwell to be op like before but i think improve it AI wont broken it. For now, cromwell AI is okish but nowhere near outstanding, more accuracy MG and AOE for main gun will really help. Cromwell main gun use the same HE shells with Sherman so their performance should be close to each other.

IMO the strafe overall should be more consistent too. I'm a big fan of strafes over loiters since they're (IMO) less frustrating for both sides and take more skills, but that's given that both work correctly. |

I'd be all for removing smoke canister from scott or 400HP -> 320HP (2 shot kill), but I'm not really a fan of giving the stuart smoke. Its problem IMO is its main gun doesn't do nearly enough damage to vehicles. It survives well enough already being practically immune to luchs and 222 fire. Only the puma and larger can harm it. So I don't really think it needs to extra suvivability. I'm more of buff the AT damage, lower the armor and AI damage guy.

Its stunshot is also great for escaping enemy tanks already anyway, it doesn't really need another defensive ability. |
IMO it could use something to make it more useful. It's objectively the worst rocket arty in every aspect except for payload (which doesn't even matter because it's so inaccurate and so slow) and fuel price. It's got a horrible setup time and sets up automatically facing the first enemy it sees, meaning if you want to fire 10 degrees somewhere else they have to tear it down, turn, and set it up again, which all in all takes like 5-6 seconds, compared to near instantaneous response rates from all other rocket arty platforms. It's infantry crewed and towed, meaning its slow as fuck, can die to random indirect or small arms fire, and for some reason costs like 50-something to reinforce models. It's got a horrible cooldown time, way longer than all the other rocket arties, and its vet2 doesn't even do anything anymore. And to top it all off, when you actually shoot something with it, it'll probably miss 90% of its rockets and they'll just move out of the circle after like 4 rockets anyway.
I made this thread after a game playing against it as ost and it got like 3 kills and I just kinda laughed at it, as my double mortar left over from hardcountering his mortar pit rained death on all his sections as soon as they got to the front lines.
TL; DR: land mattress sucks at everything.
IMO it could at least use a faster setup/teardown time and if it could be coded to set up only at the user's discretion, that'd help it a lot too (as opposed to autofacing the first enemy it sees). It should also lose the stupidly long cooldown and get an actual vet2 bonus (because people cried 25% more damage was OPieop so they literally just removed the vet2 and didn't replace it like a year ago). |
