That's why I like airborne company for teamgames. You can get a .50 and go captain since M20 and AAHT are a pain in the ass to try to use in teamgames but pack howie and at are very useful. Paras and paths (for ninja spotters) are good too, and p47s... I guess they'll scare things if you're sitting on like 500 muni. Only problem is it's super mp heavy. In: Strategy Desk

In addition since brens do not fire on the move they will probably not reload out of cover unless ordered to stop and shoot out of cover. Mills bombs are useless because tommies won't hit anything on the move and are best at long range but get beat by pretty much anything besides maybe pios if they try to close (which is necessary to throw grenades). They also had to leave cover most likely, and suffer the debuffs that come with that. Piats on sections are bad for the same reason In: COH2 Gameplay

I believe someone said that it only doesn't work on buildings or something, but when you give an attack ground command, they try to run through the smoke/around the shotblocker like if you gave them an attack order with direct fire weapons. Thread: Unofficial Revamp mod (EFA & WFA & Brits)14 Jul 2017, 21:55 PM I like these newest changes. For commandos, the +50% accuracy ambush bonus still applies for all 5 seconds right? Also, I feel like they're still just not tough enough to go up against vetted okw infantry without trading negatively in the lategame with much cheaper units (basically anything but obers). However, I think their performance against ost is pretty balanced and making them better would make them OP against ost, so it's a bit of a conundrum I guess. Edit: it may just be that commandos don't have much purpose against okw, since it's mostly just blunt-force infantry power concentrated in around the same place, even if you aren't blobbing, and there's always stgs everywhere when there's okw, so commandos are always going to be going up against multiple squads that don't really care about whether they're flanked or not. To work around it, attack the ground right outside the wall of the building and the AOE will do the job. It can be a bit tricky to aim through the smoke, though. Huh. That's a neat trick, I'll have to try it. Do you think you lose any damage by not quite having the flamer AoE all the way in the building though? It'd be nice if this could get fixed next patch though (if there is a next patch). In: COH2 Bugs

Mg42 smgs coming out of camouflage doesn't take much work to make work, so I wouldn't really consider that "outplaying" to win an engagement. Or ele/jt in live version that basically get to reign over the (teamgame) battlefield uncountered unless like half the allied team throws their whole armies at it and the axis player screws up so hard that they might as well let their dog play. Or dshka, with the shortest setup/teardown time in the game, really good dps, the fastest suppression out of all mgs, and a 6 man team that can also use AP rounds and sprint. All these units are/were beatable, but it took/takes inordinate amounts of effort. With penal satchels, you literally just have to reverse, even if the animation is already playing. So instead of "I want to have my cake and eat it too" it's more like "I want to have my undeniably worse cake and eat it too" Speaking of which, you complained that in this mod, because it's a freaking unofficial mod ffs, OKW's 5 vet system is changed so that it doesn't just overbuff units, but gives them little bonuses or whatever. OKW only got 5 vet levels because they had a pretty severe resource penalty that was later removed, but 5 vet levels still stayed. "I want to have my cake and eat it too". In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Conscript into Penals12 Jul 2017, 23:52 PM If you want capping power you should go for another CE. Cons still suck and there's no reason to use them with penals, but at least engis are cheaper and having an extra means another flamer/sweeper and repair abilities. You also don't need at nades because ptrs penals. There's literally no reason to build conscripts except as meat shields for t2 openings, which there is also no reason for because of penals + dshka meta. It's meta for a reason. Would be interesting to know in terms of knowing how soon can the game expect better balance = better player retention. Ha I wish. This mod is independent from relic and they have DoW3 to "support " now. You also make an interesting point that I see myself as an example of. I've been playing a lot more coh1 because I feel like it's much better balanced for the most part. In: COH2 Gameplay
