All infantry have equal amount of HP, only snipers have sligthly more (they could survive from 1 mortar hit, while other infantry not). Grens vet3 have 20% damage reduction, shocks have armor (it don't work against mortars and shells), almost every infantry have received accuracy bonus with veterancy. |

In fact, i use this ability very often and found some situations where you can use it effectively:
1. You can turn on it right in moment, when you saw enemy soldiers in cone of fire, boost from ability will be enough to quickly suppress all soldiers.
2. When you fight against LV like puma or P2. You can take some damage to P2 if you will be shoot to rear armor.
3. When you fight against enemy HMG. This fight will win those who 1-st turn on ability.
And of course, this ability don't have clear indication when it turn on (no laser shots like MG-42) and only clue - long bursts. You always could use it to your profit, because blobbers when see maxims always don't expect that you turned on this ability. |
Soviets never used bazookas, while get some amount in 1941. They have much more piats than bazookas, but not used them too.
IMHO, airborne should have booby trap ability in both variants - they diversion specialists, it's they work. While with ppsh will get tactic advantage instead suppresive fire. They don't have stealth like other diversion troops and you can't make combo - stealth + tactic advantage. |
Also ability should have some timer to get player to cancel his choice and prevent abuse when you dismiss your squad near to enemy to save few MP. |
WIht ppsh i don't see why i need airborne over stormtroops. Storms have nades and armor, while airborne cost more and have the same greandes with these stupid suppresive fire and very awkward plane ability. In which terms they better than storms? |
Yea unit quite meh, they have too high cost, while don't have stealth and at-nades. Ppsh while free don't have tactic advantage ability, only these stupid suppressive fire ability and smoke nades. Really, squad that must act behind enemy lines have ability that work only when you have near friendly squad that could deal with debuffed enemy. Who make such horrible design?
Only DP-28 good, while don't have any special abilities. Button ability like guards have could be good.
I think it will be better that this unit will be like falls - 4 man stealth squad with bundle nades and at-nade with smoke grenade. Or like jaegers with mp40. |
Sometimes you have situations when you need free your pop-cap or reinforce team weapon that was been captured by elite infantry. In first case you send your troops to die on frontline, while with 2-nd case you need pay much more MP to reinforcing. Why not add for each infantry unit and team weapon button "Dismiss"? If it was hitted, crew abandon team weapon and will go off from map, the same will do infantry squad. Infantry squad could leave their weapon on base sector (if it was captured in battle or if it upgrade like Bar or Mg-42).
I also think about small amount of MP reward, like 50% of reinforce cost for each soldier of team weapon or squad. Example: cons have 20MP reinforce cost, if you dismiss the whole squad you will got 60 MP back, 10MP for each soldier and 8MP if they have 7-th man upgrade. It could bring some tactics solutions in game, when you could sacrifice squad to get advantage in near future. For such objects like howitzers it could work like brits ability with dismissed mortar pits, when you tottaly lose object. To not abuse this ability, when you build howi than dissmis it, build new one and than reinforce all of them and get over popcap.
Dismiss will look better than intentional killing of your squad. |

Stug is not a tank but a TD and one is simply not enough.
1 stug don't counter kv-8 and 1 su-85 don't counter panther. You always need support in both cases. I say even more - kv-8 can't kill your stug, while panther can kill su-85. |
